I just finished the first season. So far I like a lot of the characters. But Raylon’s adultery with his ex-wife really bothers me. And the way he treated Ava. He messed with her feelings, and it sounds like she’s already had enough bad men in her life.

Yeah. I don’t like Winona, I’ll say it. I don’t like her scuzzy realtor hubby.

I’m glad I just re-watched those seasons and I hope I don’t say anything that spoils anything for you so I’ll try and be very careful with my words.

Oh my. What did you think about the episode, “The Collection,” with Robert Picardo? He was the art appraiser whose father was a Nazi. That last scene when he gets Raylan to see his Hitler paintings? Oh, just classic. Very moving. Maybe my favorite scene in the series.

👍

The first season was more about Raylon than Boyd and I liked it better that way for the most part.

The series becomes more ‘high arching plot’ entangled that might hurt syndication some.

I liked that episode. At first I thought he had his own unhealthy fascination with them, but then it made sense with the reveal at the end.

As for Winona/Ava, I much prefer Ava. But we’ll see, I’ve seen one episode from a later season where she seemed different. I’m trying to ignore it, because it’s out of context and I am trying to watch the series in order now.
