Has John ever contacted you with a reply since he told you he would “look into it”?
It’s a simulated diologue, and isn’t me.Has John ever contacted you with a reply since he told you he would “look into it”?
I just glanced at the exchange briefly, but it sounds like he is not interested in facts.
LOL! I thought the Chris in the conversation was you! It’s a simulated diologue, and isn’t me.
LOL
I got it from tower to truth ministries, and they were able to show how the trinity booklet put out by JWs manipulated quotes of trinitarians to make it appear as though they disagreed with it.
Much like how they misquoted Greek scholars to support the NWT.

Russell basically stole that concept from the SDA church.LOL! I thought the Chris in the conversation was you!
What I can’t understand is how they can believe that God would allow an angel to be mixed with a human to be Jesus when the flood account was basically due to angels mixing with humans.![]()

The non-Christian cults have always denied the divinity of Christ, making Him into a smaller god or entity than what He claimed to be.
Much of the NWT New Testament was copied from Greber’s NT. Greber was **an occultist who used ‘spirit guides’ **to translate the NT, and denied the divinity of Christ.
I have a copy of it, and have looked at it a bit. “God’s Spirit”, is rendered as "God’s spirit-world.
What kind of person would take that translation anywhere but the garbage can?
I went to their official site, and they radically changed John 1:1I have a copy of it, and have looked at it a bit. “God’s Spirit”, is rendered as "God’s spirit-world.![]()
They argue that since the definate article “the” doesn’t appear before the word ‘God’ in the Greek text, that the word “God” is indefinate.I went to their official site, and they radically changed John 1:1
Nerds are cool to me!They argue that since the definate article “the” doesn’t appear before the word ‘God’ in the Greek text, that the word “God” is indefinate.
Theos en ho Logos
But Grandal Sharp’s rule for the Greek text states that Theos (God) is definate even without the definate article being present because of the sentence structure. “Theos” is the subject of the sentence, and therefore “The Word was a god” is improper.
(yeah, I’m nerdy:nerd: )
By refering to Jesus as ‘a god’, they place him on the same level as satan, who St. Paul refered to as ‘the god of this world’.Nerds are cool to me!
There are multiple passages I think they would have tampered with. I will have to re-read Isahia to spot another from off the top of my head. There are more I am sure.
I wonder how they get around having a God and a god then?
Is this polytheism? Its so confusing.
Jesus makes so many I am statements, I am so surprised they see no link to them.By refering to Jesus as ‘a god’, they place him on the same level as satan, who St. Paul refered to as ‘the god of this world’.
The Hebrew word Ru-ach is correctly translated as ‘spirit’ throughout the NWT, with exception to Genisis 1:2 where they translate it as ‘active force’. They insert the word ‘other’ into passages in colossians, as in “…a name above every (other) name.”
Hebrews I:8 has God the Father saying to Jesus, “Your throne, oh God, is forever and ever.”, but they translated it, “God is your throne.”
They render John 8:58 “Before Abraham was born, I have been”
Ego Eimi means I AM!
I seem to think its pretty important.“Unless you believe I am he, you will die in your sins.”
Oddly enough, the word ‘he’ (autou) doesn’t appear in the greek, but most bibles include it for “clarity”.
The statement should read:
“Unless you believe I AM, you will die in your sins.”
Rejection of the Trinity seems to be a mortal sin.
I hadn’t thought of that. I’ll have to put that in my list of JW inconsistencies.LOL! I thought the Chris in the conversation was you!

I keep a copy so as to show them there contradictions. One of my favorites is their claims about the dead not exsiting, yet their own translation shows Moses dead in Deuteronomy, but alive and active at the Transfiguration in the Gospel.
What kind of person would take that translation anywhere but the garbage can?
Comparing John 18:40 “Barabbas was a robber.” shows their translation of 1:1 is mistaken. They argue that since the definate article “the” doesn’t appear before the word ‘God’ in the Greek text, that the word “God” is indefinate.

JWs believe that Moses was reanimated during the transfiguration and returned to dust afterwards. Jehovah keeps a database on all persons and can recreate at will. Can’t source it right now, but’s thats what I remember being taught.I keep a copy so as to show them there contradictions.
