JW is a false religion?

I kind of like their religion. I’ve been attending Kingdom Hall meetings and find their study of Jehovah to be very accurate. I might join.

The other night I was listening to a Protestant radio station (they really need to get a Catholic station as far as I’m concerned!) and they were warning other Christians that the JW religion is a false religion!!! And to STAY AWAY from them and don’t listen to the, etc.

It is a false religion. The True Faith does not alter Bible
passages to suit their belief, nor do they deny the divinty of Jesus Christ, nor would they deny the Holy Trinity, and teach that Jesus is not God, but Micheal the Archangel. The True Faith also does not have doctrinal changes such as the jw’s have done time and again. The True Faith also would never tell its members its okay to refuse life saving treatment such as a blood transfusion. As for “staying away from them”, the
idea is to try to teach THEM the TRUTH. It is a good idea to talk to them, and offer them the Truth. So that maybe they will learn about the lies of the falsetower
and be brought to accurate knowledge. A good book to read as you probably already know, is written by Jason
Evert : “Answering Jehovah’s Witnesses”. In the end of the book there is a chapter in there called “How do you witness to to the Witnesses?”. It is a good idea to get a copy if you plan on talking to them, or if they show up at your door. We as Catholics can teach them alot. Show them things they never even knew about their organization. I used to think before becoming a jw, that it wasn’t ok to talk to them. But, after learning what I have now, and being an ex jw, I wish I had learned to talk to them, and had offered them proof that there is a REAL faith, and the REAL TRUTH. Many souls can be saved through trusting in Jesus, and teaching others about Him. We can talk to these people, as pray for their conversion. They need it like everyone else out there who doesn’t know the truth. The scriptures say, " know the truth and the truth will set you free". That applies to them as well. They have a chance to be set free, and to come to know God. To find out that they do not have to live under the direction of the Watchtower organization, that there is life beyond it. That they can truly be free of it. Good post you have here!

The only True Religion is the Catholic religion. All other religions are false, although to varying degrees. The JW’s happen to be more false than Orthodox and Protestants.

As a former JW I will agree that because they do not believe in the divinity of Christ, they are a false religion - but I would not call them “Satanic.” I am also not familar with their magazine The War Cry. They publish the Watchtower & the AWAKE magazines… are you sure you are thinking of the right group?

Oh that’s so sweet of you to say… I’m glad I helped you.

It’s a very sensitive issue with me because I knew and loved many witnesses and know for a fact that their devotion is sincere. They are good people who truly believe they are serving God. They have been misled - as I once was… and the sad truth of the matter is that their beliefs are FALSE. There are many Protestant religions that I would say are off a bit - here & there… but at least they get Jesus right. That can’t be said of the JW’s - they are off all over the place. That is the message I hope always comes across - the Watchtower is wrong… but the witnesses themselves deserve our heartfelt prayers & compassion.

There are several of us on this site who, by the grace of God have come out of the Watctower. I believe there are others who are still involved with the witnesses - those who read these threads and never post. To those brothers & sisters I would say this: I know how scary it is to begin to doubt all that you’ve based your life on and all that you’ve believed to be true. I’ve been there… but there is hope and God loves you so very very much. He will love you whether you are a Jehovah’s Witness or not. Turn to Him - and His Precious Son Jesus - and He will show you the way home.

Well I thought I heard it long time ago from the priest who was teaching us theology. Nevertheles, I know for sure that JW’s consider us “fake” Christians. I try to read some of the WT magazines and it surprised me when I discovered that they use deception to lure people to their faith.

Yes the Jehovah Witnesses are a false religion along with Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and other Eastern religions. A false religion is any religion that denies the Deity of Christ. Ergo Judaism is a false religion.
