JW use of the word Yahweh

Only someone who has had absolutely no religious education. Even then, I bet it’s hard to convert people, because their name has such a stigma attached to it. Kind of like Mormons - most people run for cover when they see them coming!😃 As for me, I have no fear of other religions, or being “converted”. So I enjoying hearing all kinds of things. Variety is the spice of life!

Oh, I do. Indeed, I initially believed the comment to be sarcastic. However, your continued praise of JW magazines and tracts in subsequent comments gave me sufficient reason to doubt the presence of sarcasm in that comment.

A lot of their “introductory” literature is not all that wild. It’s sort of like the Christian Science Monitor in that respect. Not within a thousand miles of the true weirdness of the underlying organization. It’s a way to perhaps establish shared ideas with you. Almost like the “bait and switch” thing resorts do. The weird stuff comes later.

Awake magazines can be left lying around where unsuspecting people can pick them up and read them. They contain useful information, and hopefully make people favorably aware of the Watchtower. “This organization is not so bad after all.” The strange stuff comes later and slowly, and by cunning presentaton made to seem natural and right.
