pretty aggressive language. Help us look a little closer, because the Catholic Church has had 2000 years to look, and still have not found 1 verse contradicting real presence. And, you didn’t provide a verse of that sort in your response nor do I think you can, forgive any aggression.
I also found this curious:
You seem to be justifying being divided (from us?) by this verse. You are happy that we are divided? You believe Christ would be joyous in our division? I think it’s pretty bad that some are embracing division in Christianity like it is how Christ intended it? That is not you is it?

I am educated in the Catholic faith, ask me anything.…and that reconciles with accusing the other poster of “making things up” that aren’t in the bible, …how?
If you have not already done so, please at least become educated in the Catholic faith. Then, not only will you see that Catholics do not make things up, but also if you decide that you disagree with what Catholics believe, you will at least be disagreeing with what Catholics TRULY believe, not what you incorrectly THINK Catholics believe.
I am glad you are no longer an athiest. But instead of chastizing those whom you think should have witnessed to you and didn’t, consider that maybe they need a little help too. Show them your kindness and love, and they will grow. Continue to berate them and they will turn away. IMO.
Sorry to throw this thread off topic. Maybe I should start another thread.
In the meantime, I will continue to advocate for people sharing the gospel. As far as turning away, in my church, you assist in the baptism of people you have witnessed to and have professed their faith in Christ, in other words, there are of course more people than that who you have led to Christ but not all would chose to be baptized at your church.
I am not interested in helping Catholics grow, I am interested in leading people to Christ and I have done a fairly good job so far as the 67 people I have personally assisted in baptism could profess.
What about you?

Where in the Bible does it give one authority to interpret OT and NT Scripture about what constitutes a “Christian”?

The Bible clearly teaches that searching the scripture is the right thing to do in order to determine the veracity of a teaching
There are **not **only certain people who are allowed to read scripture and interpret it, no matter what your church may or may not have told you Robert.

Jesus is not speaking metaphorically, or the writer would have put this in the form of a parable.
What’s your infallible interpretation? Ours has been taught since the day of Pentacost 33 AD.

In the future, when JW comes to the door, this is what I do. I courteously thank them for their concern and their attempt to deliver God’s word. I also immediately inform them that I am a Catholic and will say prayers that the Holy Spirit guide them in everything they do. Inside my head I am thinking that if they are preaching a mis-interpreted word of God, the Holy Spirit will intervene and show them the truth and hopefully some day they will see the light. I am also saying to myself “I wish I had the courage and fire to go door to door.”
They usually are at peace with this and we say “God Bless you” to each other and we all depart in peace. Let’s get back to the original post and offer past experiences is what this string was intending…
