Lots of interesting points in that piece…too many really.

Re. Mugabe…no-one can seriously object to his attendance and at the same time celebrate the presence of the war monger in chief and his ghoulish entourage.

But as for the more substantive point:- yes Europe, but you might as well count in also North America are dead corners of history so far as Christendom is concerned. All is left is too give it a decent burial.

The real life, the real mediation of Christ’s body on earth is among the poor Church communities of Latin America , Africa and the rest of the emerging world.
