Kasper’s response to cardinals’ protests against communion for remarried divorcees

In Megan’s posted video Cardinal Burke said, “I do not see how it [Kaspar’s proposal] can go forward if we are to honor the words of our Lord, Himself.”

That is why we are having this synod, so they can better understand each other. Cardinal Burke does not see how Cardinal Kasper’s proposition could work. This does not mean that he will not be able to see. Cardinal Kasper does not see why his proposal can not be reconciled with Catholic doctrine. This does not mean he will not gain understanding.

I do not see division in this (as they are still 99% united). Let them work out the actual differences in conference, to understand what differences really exist.
