Washington, DC – In a new interview with the Washington Post, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is making news more for what she won’t say than what she revealed. She refused to say if she personally supports abortion funding in the health care bill and was silent on her status as a pro-abortion Catholic.

Anything she says will bring criticism from either side, depending on what she says. This is what happens when you think you can separate your faith from your oath of office. The Honorable Secretary cannot ignore the fact that her instructions from her Bishop back in Kansas are public knowledge, and she must tread lightly on the issues. Her ignoring it is a weak attempt at maintaining credibility. Unfortunately, for her, one cannot do that when in a position of high authority. I’d give her three years to either come to her senses or walk away from either the job, or God forbid, the Church. I don’t see the scenario lasting longer than that. It’s a question we all have to answer, no matter what our status in this world may be.

*You know, it reminds me of when Jesus told Peter that he would deny Him three times, and Peter did, when the public eye was on him. The good news is that Peter repented and became our first Pope! But that snippit in history, shows us that it can be tempting to ‘deny Christ,’ when our back is against the wall. It can be scary to be the lone Catholic voice in a sea of dissenters. We probably have all been there at different times in our lives, for seemingly different reasons.

But… If we put Christ first…if we stand up for our faith, first…we can’t go wrong. I pray for this woman, Kathleen Sebelius…that she stands up for her faith. Don’t ever put secular laws above your faith, if it means compromising who you are as a Christian.*

Look the fact is that nominally catholic members of the Democratic party are all pro abortion and in grave sin.

The above is what is called calling a spade a spade.
