I have been married for 12 years as of 25/5/09.
My advice is …
1.Every time you see your wife, tell her that she is beautiful!
2.Hug her now and then!
3.Make it known that she is Perfect in every way.
4.Tell her that she is the best a man can get.
5.Give her what she wants .
6.Tell her that our kids are beautiful like she is.
7.Give her a massage now and then.
8.Tell her that you are nothing without her in your life.
9.Tell her that 'I love you" every time you talk on the phone.

Any other suggestions , feel free to add!
These are practiced everyday , I love her to death!

I’m never surprised when a marriage fails, because marriage usually entails the two genders living together, and that’s always very tough!

So here is me raising my glass to you and your bride!
Mazel Tov!

5.Give her what she wants .
Well…

I would amend that, to state “Give her what she needs.” Some people need something other than what they want. If you give them what they need, instead of what they want, that can be to everyone’s detriment.

A diabetic may want a pack of Ho-Hos, but you wouldn’t give it to them, now would you? A recovering alcoholic may want a liter of Grey Goose, but you wouldn’t give it to them?

As husbands, we sometimes do have a responsibility to be caretakers for our wives. This is especially true if the spouse has serious problems - mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual. This sometimes means giving the spouse what they need - even if that is different from what the spouse wants.

Sometimes you have a spouse who needs to go on a diet, or a budget, or to a rehab facility. Or needs to return to the Church. Or needs to stop commiting adultery. Convincing your spouse to do what is needed can be brutally hard, under those circumstances.

That can be tough - one of the most demanding things we have to do as spouses. It can create a lot of conflict, and can really put a strain on a relationship. But it is necessary, if you want to live up to the true purpose of the Sacrament of Matrimony - to be a minister to your spouse, acting on Christ’s behalf.

This is great!!! Your wife must be one happy and well taken care of lady. I know she is proud to have a husband like you. I think I will also print this off and give it to my husband! Very good points made on this and I think if we all had spouses like this or we were spouses like this that our marriages would be so much better. This is great!!!

BTW, do you have a brother??? LOL Just kidding!

Thank you, I posted it as I see a lot of lonely people out there, so I thought I can open mens eyes a bit!
I am not perfect , I still have flaws but she loves me and I love her, its all about compromise and hugging. I do it as well so the kids know that whatever happens in our marriage eg… arguments , that we still love eachother to death!
I even tell the kids that I love them everyday , no matter what!
We all have hugs and kisses:thumbsup: Its great to love and be loved!

I like the fact that you say your kids see this love. I am not sure if you have sons or daughters but either way they will grow up knowing the love and respect that a marriage needs. Your son will know how to treat his wife and your daughter will know how her husband should treat her. Perfect or not, I think you have a strong sense of how women want to be loved and you deserve a thumbs up! 👍 I have always said that if a man treats his wife as God teaches them, which is that Christ died for us and we as women know that our husbands would give their lives for us…well, our men would be very happy men because they would not have to want for anything. Great job!
