Keeping the Sabbath holy

[dsully]

I would like to keep the Sabbath holy by fasting from social media each weekend. I am having trouble doing it, but I think that I am making progress.

How do you keep the Sabbath holy?

Do you have any words of advice or encouragement for me in my efforts?

I think it a marvelous idea. Now, I suggest you turn off your computer and go find a good book or pray, or any of the other activities that you have selected to otherwise occupy yourself during the sabbath. God bless you and may you have a wonderful time of rest.

I’ve always seen fasting as what we do during the week, but Sunday is a day of rest.

Make holy by resting and thanking God for your blessings.

for anyone who is confused (myself being one not long ago), sunday is not the sabbath.

Correct, Saturday is the Sabbath, Sunday is the Lords day.

We as Catholics keep holy on The Lord’s Day.
