Kellyanne Conway at YWLS: Defense Of The Preborn Is My Number One Issue

It really gets me that Kellyanne would be applauded by women for having such a key position if the politician she supported was anyone other than Trump. But because it’s Trump (and because she’s pro-life), she is regarded as a figure of derision even though she has an important job and has also managed to not get fired, which under this President is no mean feat. The double standard is extremely annoying to me.

Actually, it’s more due to her constant defense of outright lies. Not to mention coming up with the phrase “alternative facts.”. :roll_eyes:
 
She is doing her job. If she was defending Clinton’s lies, and don’t tell me Clinton doesn’t lie because my belief is that with very rare exceptions, ALL politicians lie (Trump, Clinton, Obama, et cetera), she would still be held up as a role model by many.

My point is not whether people agree with her statements, it’s the fact that she is a woman in a high-profile job. She is going against the grain of what a “woman” is supposed to do by being on Team Trump, and this causes her to get slammed by other women.

YMMV but that’s how I see it. And it’s annoying, and stuff like that makes me basically toss the “women’s movement” in the dumpster.

Well, that’s not how the very many people I know who despise her for her lies see it. And while all politicians do lie, this president has taken it to an unprecedented level. She has chosen to support that, and being pro-life doesn’t excuse it.
