I posted this in prayer intentions, but I wanted you folks to know this too. On Tuesday, my boyfriend’s ex-wife returned their two daughters to his sister’s house. The girls seem well and are happy to be home. He is so thankful to know they’re safe and well. Praise the Lord, thank God for this event and thank you for your prayers. :extrahappy: :dancing:

Now that she hasn’t got the children, the ex-wife has the freedom to up her campaign of harassment. She somehow got my cellphone number and has phoned me twice. I listened to her rant, but I said nothing - I have no idea what I can say to her. I’m not even going to try to speak with her.

She has been harassing my boyfriend, too. She flew to Korea on Wednesday, and showed up outside my boyfriend’s house, ranting and raving. She seems to want reconciliation and money. He has agreed to meet her on Sunday to talk about it. I don’t know what’s going to happen.

I don’t know what to hope for anymore. I’m praying for her, for him, for me, and for the kids most of all. They need a loving and stable home. I want that to be with me and their father, but… (gulp) if the only way to give them a good home is for my boyfriend to remarry their mother, I would let him go. 😦 I don’t want to do that, but I’m not going to ruin two little girls’ lives because I love their father.

:crying: I love him so much. I want to marry him. I want him to be the father of my children, and I want to raise his two daughters with him. I’ve never met a man that I was so sure about - he’s on a path toward heaven and I want to go there with him. I’m praying that’s all still possible. :gopray2:

Prayers continuing that all will happen for the best…

It is wonderful that the girls are back and are well!

The mother sounds as if she needs to mature and to find personal balance in order to fulfil relationship roles well. Naturally she’s upset, but harassment isn’t balanced. Please God for her own sake and everyone else, may she find maturity.

I’m glad you’re not buying into her emotional issues. That’s very mature of you.

Please God all will work out for the best.

I hope that you are well again.
God bless you , Trishie

I can’t imagine why, after her harassment and abuse, your bf would get back together with her. If he does, Sweetie, you are better off without him, and he didn’t know a good person when he saw her. But I can’t imagine why he would put his children through living with an abusive person who obviously has problems. I cannot imagine why he isn’t in court TODAY seeking some sort of Korean restraining order for himself and his children again her and her brother!!!

If you are allowed to suggest it, please- Make sure he meets her in a public place. This woman sounds derranged, and used to manipulating to get what she wants.

And if the harassment continues, you seek whatever constitutes a restraining order as well, or go to the Canadian embassy ASAP. It is very easy to replace a cell phone and get another number, BTW.

I am happy they are home safely! Good news!🙂
I will keep you in my prayers too, JW…whatever God’s will is.

She wants to reconcile? To remarry him? Is that what she means, do you think?

I agree with this advice, too, JW.

I have a feeling she might be interested in ‘reconciling’ because he has you, now. She sounds a bit unstable…and I pray that she will develop a relationship with Christ…that is probably what is lacking in her life.😦

Thanks for the advice. He assures me that he’s not even considering getting back together with her - mostly that’s just my inner fears talking. I feel threatened by her, and I’m a little hurt that he’s going to see her, even though I know it’s something he needs to do.

I think a more likely fear is that she’ll be able to prevent him taking the kids out of the Philippines, forcing him to choose between me and them. In that case, I’d hope he’d choose them, although I don’t want to lose him. Being a father has to come first for him - I can find a different man to be my husband, but his kids will never find another man to be their father.

He’s meeting her at a restaurant near his Church. He’s hoping that since it’s in public, she’ll restrain herself and not get loud and abusive.

I don’t know why he isn’t getting a restraining order. It could be partly cultural, because in the Philippines the police aren’t generally trusted. If this were a stranger, I’m sure he’d be more proactive about this, but I think it’s because she used to be family, and he can’t quite bring himself to believe she’s doing this.

I am thinking of changing phones. I’ve had this number for years and I’m attached to it, and it would be inconvenient to change it, but it may be for the best. I’d have to send text messages to over 300 people if I change it, so I’m going to wait. If she calls again, I’ll block her number. If she calls another time from a different number, then I’ll look into changing the phone.

Maybe he feels he has to settle this, once and for all, and the “man” thing is to settle it.

Yeh, well, obviously she can’t be trusted.

Thanks, OutinChgoburbs. It’s good to know that I’ve got people praying for me and concerned about me. I’ll suggest to him that he bring a friend with him when he meets her after Church. Ain’t no way I’m going, though! You couldn’t pay me enough to get close to her! Nuh-uh, no way. :dts: :nope:

Thanks for your reply, Whatevergirl. I guess we posted at the same time. I don’t know what she wants. When she called me, she said something along the lines of “Why you want him? He’s not yours, he’s mine. I’m still the mother of his kids. You’re not having him.” It doesn’t sound like she really wants him, just like she doesn’t want him to have someone else. She doesn’t seem that interested in the kids either - just in her “position” as their mother and how that gives her the right to mess up his life. I spoke to my boyfriend tonight, and we talked about the possibility of paying her alimony. In the Philippines, if she doesn’t have custody of the kids she gets nothing. I don’t know if she’ll go away if he promises to support her.

I think she really does need Christ in her life. I’m not sure if she’s Catholic, but I know her brother is Jehovah’s Witness, and I know they never had a Church wedding when she married my boyfriend.

One good thing coming out of this: I’m getting closer to Christ through this time of trouble. I’m going to Mass on Sunday for the first time - alone! (Not the same parish that my boyfriend goes to - I’ll go to the English Mass at the Cathedral instead.) I just feel like I need prayers big time. I’m going to buy a rosary while I’m there, too. I wish I could receive the Eucharist but I’m not Catholic yet, so the Presence will have to be enough for me right now.
