A ransom demand ought to have been accompanied by some ‘proof of life’.

Just a little information about father Tom. he belongs to Bangalore province of the Silesians, the city where I live. I have attended a few masses where he officiated. He is a good and holy priest. Last year he returned from Yemen, he could have stayed on in India, as a parish priest or could have been assigned to the Silesian seminary in a teaching assignment. What he did though was to ask to be sent back to Yemen, for he said, there were no priests left to minister to the sisters, or the catholics in the country. It was with some hesitation that his superiors agreed to his request. My cousin who is a professor in the Silesian seminary in Bangalore tells me that they heard that he was in the chapel when the terrorists attacked. rather then panicking, he quietly consumed the consecrated hosts. before the terrorists destroyed the chapel and the alter . It is true no one has any news of him since then, he is mentioned in every mass said by the Silesian priests here.
 
I wonder if the Vatican can send the Swiss guard along with the us marines and save father tom?

Yes, I think I read a thread on here last week that he was freed and sent off to recover.
