King David wrote the Miserere.

If he only did that, would make him ok in my book

Gives us something to pray as we go up for Holy Communion

Note that these are the only times in the scriptures where a charcoal fire is mentioned. Hmmm…
Would you mind if I note that this isn’t so in Spanish ? The word is “ brasas” in those passages. And the same word appears several times both in the Old and the New Testament.
I do not know what you mean by noting this, nor object to it per se, just mentioning that it appears differently in this different language. I checked with two Catholic Bibles in Spanish …
brasas means “embers”. Note the synomyms for ember:

em·ber
/ˈembər/
Learn to pronounce
noun
a small piece of burning or glowing coal or wood in a dying fire.
“the dying embers in the fireplace”
synonyms: glowing coal, live coal; cinder; ashes, residue, clinker, charcoal
“the fire’s dying embers”

Yes…so what should I note?
It still appears several times, that is what I mean. Not twice only in those passages.

I thought you were objecting that charcoal fire was translated as “brasas”?
Brasas is embers. A synonym for ember is charcoal.

Ok. No…I found the connection he made interesting but it didn’t ring a bell so I looked it up in Spanish.

God is the greatest character in Both Testaments. In special ways He revealed Himself and when those didn’t work, He came down Himself.

Fun fact: The Second Person of the Holy Trinity appears in the Old Testament in the guise of the “Malak Elohim” the Messenger of God.

The old Testament has lots of interesting characters King Solomon - Moses - David - Noah - Esther - Johah and I could go on - I liked the book of Tobit it was a love story with an angel and demon and everyone lives happily ever after . I think there were many great characters.

Is God really a biblical character , as he is the true author of the Bible ?
