King James Bible - resources?

Hi folks,

could you help me w/ some links/resources I could use for writing my term paper for this topic (King James Bible - reasons why it was needed, its influence etc…)?

I have Allister McGrath’s book “In the beginning”. It’s a very good one but though I consider him a great scientist and Christian theologian I sense he promotes (not surpsingly) solely his Protestant point of view on the things.

Any stuff I could find helpful?

Also - any material talking about the “corrupted Church” in this era from a Catholic perspective?

Any further suggestions welcomed. Perhaps some articles on the web would be useful. Any articles (or books as well) looking in a non-biased way at the corruption of the post-medieval Church?
 
When you look at the history of the English Bible, I am not sure one can even make a case for the neccessity of putting together the King James Bible.

I suggest you look for a set of the oxford history of the english bible.
