If you buy an Anglican KJV, or audio of the Anglican KJV, you’ll have all of those books, as well as I Esdras, 2 Esdras, and PrMan.So yes listen to the KJV and later read the 7 deuterocanonical books from the Catholic bible which will be absent in the KJV: ( Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, (Sirach also called Ben Sira or Ecclesiasticus), Baruch)
I’m not sure what you’d like documentation for." its original version, the KJV contained the Deuterocanonicals. They were only removed around 1830 when an English missionary society refused to ship Bibles if the Deuterocanonicals were included."
Where can I go to see this.
I need a reliable site, one that a KJV only person would trust.
Although it is good to compare the versions I would rather stick with a Bible that is used by the Catholic Church. All the books are in it and the translations actually make sense for many reasons. I also hate how the new Bible versions try to modernize every passage,Why limit yourself to just one bible version? I have dozens in my library at home.
Actually, the Old Testament of the King James Version contained, originally, the full canon. It was removed by non-Anglicans later on.I would not recommend a Catholic read the KJV. It is full of mistranslations and it doesn’t contain the Old Testament that Jesus had. They use an Old Testament that was created after he died.
You said so above, but for some reason people keep talkingI really dont like the KJV after looking at it more.
