I said ‘bizarre vendetta’, but other than that you’re putting words in my mouth.
**I didn’t say they were your words - I am referring to you, yes, and others who refute Dr. Reisman. **
Most of his evidence on pedophilia, and why bother gathering evidence on the past child predation of a person who never did anything of the sort? Kinsey interviewed or received surveys from thousands of people, only a few of whom were pedophiles. Sure, his samples contained a disproportionate number of incarcerated people – not all of them pedophiles, I might add, but people who don’t change addresses and have little to do but fill out surveys – and that is a serious methodological problem, but when the stats were ‘cleaned’ to reflect that, the Institute found the numbers weren’t all that different.
The research I am referring to wasn’t about pedophilia in particular, in fact it had nothing to do with pedophilia. Maybe you can tell us exactly how Kinsey got information from “trained observers” aout how long it takes a 5 month old to have 3 orgasms? What exactly is the benefit of this research?
Yeah, you do have to justify it. There is nothing in that quote that in any way resembles ‘women who are raped deserve it’. Either show the connection or leave off.
Maybe you can tell us in what context this particular quote is justified, because as I said, I’m not going to bother.
What makes you think it was so inhibited beforehand? It might not have been spoken of in polite society, but you bet it was going on. Even the legendarily prudish Victorian age was full of smut, deviancy, and prostitution. The only thing the Kinsey Reports changed was the willingness of people to talk about what was already happening.
**Unfortunately the data doesn’t bear this assumption. According to Kinsey:Crimes and Consequences, of the 324 homicides in NY in 1930, 1935, and 1940 (108 per year), only 17 (6 per year) involved the rape of women or children. FBI data for 1995 (the year they have listed in their book) NY had 3,333 rape-murders.
This increase is in large part due to Kinsey’s influence over the Model Penal Code, which decriminalized crimes that untimately weakened the institution of marriage and moral fabric of this country.
There are more teenage pregnancies, more STD’s, more instances of pornography and objectification of women, all due to Kinsey’s claim that uninhibited sex is natural and desireable, necessary for the health of the individual.
Make of this what you will but I will no longerpost here until you at least try to respond to what others have posted as well. I have already said I’m tired of the subject and am getting weary of saying the same things over again.
