If I understand you, It’s prideful to let others know you’re suffering?
🤨

Not sure how you got that from my post – yes, I did make a passing mention of pride – but I am not going down the rabbit hole of what is or isn’t pride in the people around me, or even in myself.

I was replying to Horton’s comment that he/she gets frustrated by people younger than he/she complaining about how hard it is to kneel.

The quote seemed to me what you didn’t want your prayer to be a message about how bad you feel. “I will show my holiness by kneeling in spite of the pain”. ?

I am so tired of posting on threads and then being told my opinion isn’t acceptable to all the judgmental and self righteous folks out there. If you choose to not kneel, then don’t. But harassing me and judging me for my opinion does not make you holier either.

Your opinion is fine. It it YOUR judgemental words to others who don’t do what you do or you think they should do that me and other posters called out.

When I hear others younger than I complaining about how “hard” it is to kneel I get frustrated . I want to ask them how would they have felt if Jesus had said his sacrifice was hard?
Since you deleted all your comments, I pulled this from one of the other posts-
you admit to getting frustrated and judging others who don’t do what you do or think they should do.
Stop playing the martyr- you said it, own it!

@Gertabelle- sorry this linked to you, but Horton pulled all her comments, just wanted to make her aware that she did in fact say what she did.

I have bone spurs in my knees, and literally cannot kneel. I’d never be able to get back up again.

The only point I am trying to make is your attitude toward those who disagree with you is very off-putting and unChristian.
As someone who works with Catholics returning back to the Church attitudes like the one you display do more to drive people away than to help them.

And if you don’t want others to reply, why bother commenting on a public forum? 🤨

Since you can’t seem to leave it alone no matter what I say, I’ll leave it to the moderators.

I understand you. Mass, as well as other actiivities, can be a very tough place to be with your condition, or other back problems with chronic pain. Every position hurts. Anyway, a cushion really helps you stay with it so you can worship.

I often think that missionaries are our guideline to missioning even during pain. but even they get sick, and have to stop.
