You might be rationalizing. ?? Your parents never said you couldnāt do something, so you do it.Thanks for the replyThe thing is, I am obedient to my parents. Extremely obedient. But in this case they never said couldnāt kneel. Theyāre just making fun of me for doing so.
What you need to do is find out specifically what your parents would like you to do.
Ask them, politely, āMom, Dad, how would you prefer that I receive Holy Communion? I would like to be in obedience to you and honor your wishes.ā
If they say, āLike everyone else,ā then you will know for sure what they prefer, and you can obey.
If they say, āWe donāt care, do whatever you please,ā then continue to kneel.
But donāt rationalize. Donāt say, āWell, they never said I couldnāt do it.ā ASK them.
