To be honest I just wanted to know how many people still kneel even if there are no kneelers.or if there are kneelers

I am the first! (nice for someone who is so often late 😉 )

Anyway, I would kneel but my knees can’t handle it 😦 Can’t kneel in the pew anymore either 😦 😦

I do not have legs to stand on or kneel. I bow as it is the only thing I can do in a wheelchair.

If I’m reccieving from a priest, it’s kneeling on the tounge for me.

With an EMHC, it honestly depends. If they’re older with wobbly hands, I usually get in the palm just so Our Lord isint dropped.

Yesterday while waiting in the line for the distribution of the Body of Christ, I geneflected before receiving the sacrament. I then received the host on my tongue.

I know a lot of people who has the same difficulty as you. one even tried to kneel but unfortunately because of that after mass an ambulance came and took her to the hospital :(. If you can’t kneel I know our Lord would understand he is merciful and loving.

It’s ok! here if our priest sees a person on a wheel chair he would go to that person and give that person communion instead of making that person roll his/her wheelchair

No.

We have pews on all 4 sides of the altar, with EMHC’s in front of each section of pews. Sadly, it’s not realistic. I wish we did.

we only have three patens but it doesn’t stop us from using it. You know vessels are really expensive it might look cheap but in reality it really is! I was even afraid to touch the thurible when I heard how much it costs

It’s not cost, but rather the fact that it cannot logistically work at my parish.

I would kneel, but I’m 67 and I can’t get up that easily. So I bow.

I stand and bow as is our standard but your survey only permitted one answer.

As to why standng? It is out f obedience to our bishops who have stated this is the preferred posture in the US. I do wish kneeling would be chosen by the Bishops, but they did not.

Other.

My heart leaps for joy in receiving the body and precious blood of Jesus, and I am internally doing cartwheels and giving high five to the saints whether kneeling, standing, sitting (because of disabilities), or receiving on the tongue or in the hand!

Absolutely agree.

Interior disposition >>>>> exterior disposition.
