Being a catholic that lives in the most secular part of North America and is constantly surrounded by liberal(i.e. oh stop living in the past we’ve change all that stuff!) catholics I cant help feeling confused at times. At what points during the mass are catholics required to kneel and what are the norms for kneeling(or standing) after communion? It would be helpful if you could provide some references also if possible
Also a carefully reasoned sound argument in favor of the current teaching?
I apologize for asking such a stupid question, its just I knelt after communion at mass today and was yelled at by some parishoners for “remaining in the past” ,“Doing something that has nothing to do with communion…” etc
