Why didn’t the US Knights include any mention they were partnering with Knights in Mexcio and Central America to help these migrants?Why do people assume that people aren’t working to make things better in Central America? And what good does it do to tell a severely impoverished migrant to go home and hope it gets better?
The response in general (not just the Knights) seems to ignore or never touch on the subsidiarity aspect. They never talk about how they are working with their counterparts to support them in addressing the economic conditions in these countries.
I would have felt this was far less of a US Progressive hand wave if the Supreme Knight had at least mentioned his southern brethren in his PR announcement.
