I found out more about this on an anti-catholic website. Apparently, the Jesuits, Knights of Columbus, Illuminati, and Masons are all a united front by the pope to secretly rule the world. :rotfl: :whacky: Do I hear a cuckoo?
You can read the full text of the supposed “oath” at biblebelievers.org.au/jesuits.htm
Hehe, funny things some people really come up with. I guess all those conspiracy theories are getting into their head.
""I do further promise and declare that I will, when opportunity presents, make and wage relentless war, secretly and openly against all heretics, Protestants and Masons, as I am directed to do to extirpate them from the face of the whole earth; and that I will spare neither age, sex, or condition, and that will hang, bum, waste, boil, flay, strangle, and bury alive these infamous heretics; rip up the stomachs and wombs of their women, and crush their infants’ heads against the wails in order to annihilate their execrable race. That when the same can not be done openly, I will secretly use the poisonous cup, the strangulation cord, the steel of the poniard, or the leaden bullet, regardless of the honor, rank, dignity, or authority of the persons, whatever may be their condition in life, either public or private, as I at any time may be directed so to do by any agents of the Pope or superior of the Brotherhood of the Holy Father of the Society of Jesus."
Hahaha! (sorry, can’t help laughing)
Hey! It says here in the next paragraph that you guys in the KofC get a dagger! I collect swords and daggers! Please tell me that at least this part of the oath is true? 😃
Will a samurai do?

Fourth Degree Sir Knights who serve in Honor Guards or Color Corps may wear a distinctive uniform which includes tuxedo, white gloves, chapeaux with plumes, cape, service baldric and sword. The sword is for ceremonial use only, to salute the Blessed Sacrament, holy icons, relics of saints or some other worthy object in a procession, the bishop, the Colors, a deceased brother Knight at a wake or funeral, or the like. The sword does not have a sharp edge, but reasonable care should be observed in its use, as with any other long pointy object.

Not all Fourth Degree Sir Knights serve in this capacity, so not all have swords. Serving in an Honor Guard or Color Corps is in no way connected with any oath.

SK Joseph Bilodeau.

My father’s an honorary member of the KofC, and he’s not even Catholic. Does that mean he has to slay non-Catholics now? Funny things some anti-Catholics come up with.
I have never heard of Honorary Members of the Knights of Columbus, except Honorary Life Members, who are priests and religious who are exempt from paying dues, or for other Brother Knights who are at least 70 years old and who have served at least 25 years, and who are also exempt from paying further dues. But these Honorary Life Members are still required to be practical Catholic gentlemen.

I am interested in the circumstances in which a non-Catholic gentlemen might be made a honorary Knight. Your father may have been granted a rare privilege.

Sorry He can’t be a KofC member unless he is a practical Catholic as recognized by the Catholic Church. He may be some other sort of knight but KofC definitely not.

I am a 4th degree. However, I had come back to it after several years because of a bad initial experience. Originally I joined in a New Orleans area parish where all the knights seemed to do was drink beer and play bingo; I dropped out because I did not find any real Catholic spirituality. In my present parish there is a good mixture of social activities, charitable activities, and spirituality.

 Don’t give your phone number out over the internet like that!!! I’m sure you just want to stand up for your faith, but anyone in the world could get your phone number- and you can track an address with a phone number too. Anyone who wanted to could find out where you live. Please take your phone number off of there- let people talk to you on instant messenger (are you sure that’s the right AOL screen name? I sent a message to it once and it wasn’t anyone from the CA forum), and if you talk there long enough, it MIGHT be ok to talk on the phone.

Don’t worry too much, I traced it.
One could still track it,. but the time and effort involved would be better spent elsewhere for criminal intent. Besides I’m sure he can shoot straight w/ that .45.
We’re sorry. We did not find a listing for the phone number you entered.
** The phone number “(225) 247-8884” is a Batonrouge, LA based phone number and the registered carrier is Bellsouth Mobility, Llc - La. However, due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider other than the registered carrier.**

Yes, the fake K of C oath did appear in the Congressional Record. It was placed there for the express purpose of condemning it as a spurious document. Congress, having condemned it, placed their proceedings in the Record. Now, the very fact that it is in there is used by some to prove its “existence.” This is just mindless nonsense.

This oath is nearly identical to the “Knights of Columbus oath” that was declared a fake in 1913 by a special committee of Congress. Despite the governmental condemnation, the spurious Knights oath has been used by anti-Catholics throughout this century. (Maybe they don’t read the Congressional Record.) The Protestant has resurrected it, changing only its attribution (now it’s taken by the Jesuits) and its focus (from “Protestants and Masons” to “Protestants and Liberals”).

To address some unanswered points … *

… Take your friend to a KoC meeting and then he will see for himself …
Only a first degree knight (or higher) in good standing can attend a KofC meeting. Serving as an Outside Guard for my council, nobody enters the chambers without a valid and up-to-date card unless they are vouched for by a council officer.
Joseph Bilodeau:
… Please check ahead of time with the Council before going to a Knights of Columbus meeting as a non-member or before bringing a non-member as a guest. Many social meetings are open to spouses, family and other guests, but business meetings are usually restricted to the membership.
Guests are permitted for various reasons but are escorted from the chambers by the Inside Guard when the meetings in the first degree are called to order.

The Knights of Columbus has a Squires program for those under 18.
… Other points have already been correctly addressed.

Despite the governmental condemnation,…anti-Catholics throughout this century…resurrected it, changing only its attribution (now it’s taken by the Jesuits) and its focus (from “Protestants and Masons” to “Protestants and Liberals”). if the Society of Jesus were to begin slaying ‘Protestants and Liberals’, wouldn’t that require the adoption of a self-liquidating charism?
Christ is risen!!

As a knight myself, i will also refute these rediculous claims. If you believe that, you might as well believe they make you ride a goat in your underwear!! Just kidding of course…

I dont really know much about the Knights of Columbus, so when i heard from a protistant friend that when one wishes to become a Knight of Columbus, one has to sign a paper in one’s own blood. He also said

"The Knights of Columbus agreement that I find sad is that the man signing the document (usually is asked to ignore or just not read what he is signing up to) has to be willing to slay non-catholic women and children. . .the paraphrased scenario stated is “slice the pregnant woman and bash the babies head against a wall.”

I didnt know what to respond. Can any one give me some truth about all this? Thankx.
Sir, I am a Knight and I was told to Read everything very carefully before I signed anything in BLACK INK and if your friend is truly a Christian then he need’s to ask Jesus for forgivness of his sin and that is “Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor”
Quoted From the ten commandment’s.

OMGoodness!!! I laughed soooo hard!!! Does this mean that my sons (2) that are squires are in training for this? No really…my dad was a knight and my fiance is a knight and my just turned 18 yo will be joining at the next chance he gets. Funny, none of them has or had a propensity toward killing women or babies.
