The Knights templar is a masonic organization and nothing more. Therefore, they are an enemy to the Faith and an enemy to God. The Knights of Malta are not the same thing.
This is all myth without historical foundation. One must not base their history on National Treasure.

I think it would be totally awesome if the pope ressurrected the Knights Templar order. I think that in today’s world we need an order that is very manly and yet devoted to the Catholic cause.
There already is a very manly orginization of devoute Catholics We are swarn to uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church. We fight for the rights of the unborn and unwanted. We have swarn to proctect preists and we support the seminarians. We are also devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and start each meeting by saying the Hail Mary asking Her for Her prayers and guidance.

We have an orginization that is aimed at our young male children between 10 and 18. We teach them how to grow up living the faith, and not bowing to peer preasure, we ground them in the Catholic teachings and by doing so we teach them to listen to God’s call, which in turns does not trample there feelings towards priestly vocation. The group you are looking for is the Knights of Columbus. I do believe that the Knights are present in every diocese, look into it, it’s a great organization and the childrens group is called the Squires.

there are plenty of organisations of the catholic knights world wide, why don’t you ask your priest about the knights of saint gregory/columbus or your local equivelant,

The Order of the Poor Knights of the Temple of Jerusalem, or the Knights Templar, were nothing like those groups that are around today, not even the Knights of Columbus. As those groups today are predominantly lay groups.

The Knights Templar were a Knightly Order of warrior monks. They lived a monastic life under a rule.

Here is a link to their rule which was written with the assistance of the Cistercian Abbott, Bernard of Clairvaux.

The only difference between the Knights Templar and Freemasonry is that the Knights Templar tend to favor Christianity. The Knights Templar is an offshoot of York Rite Freemasonry. It may have noble beginnings, but it’s everything but noble now.
The York Rite took that name for their use. The true Order of Knights Templar ceases to be. Too many people make this false association.
