Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Gospel for today’s Mass is a sobering one:
Jesus passed through towns and villages,
teaching as he went and making his way to Jerusalem.
Someone asked him,
“Lord, will only a few people be saved?”
He answered them,
"Strive to enter through the narrow gate,
for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter
but will not be strong enough.
After the master of the house has arisen and locked the door,
> then will you stand outside knocking and saying,
> 'Lord, open the door for us.'
> He will say to you in reply,
> 'I do not know where you are from.'

And you will say,
‘We ate and drank in your company and you taught in our streets.’
Then he will say to you,
’I do not know where you are from.
> Depart from me, all you evildoers!'

And there will be wailing and grinding of teeth
when you see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God
and you yourselves cast out.
And people will come from the east and the west
and from the north and the south
and will recline at table in the Kingdom of God.
For behold, some are last who will be first,
> and some are first who will be last."
- Luke 13:22-30
We will have no excuses, if we have not listened to Jesus in our daily lives, and if we have not done His Truth in what He told us to do, that we might come to know Him. He told us, “Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will open for you” (cf Mt. 7 : 7-11). Let us ponder all His Words and His Actions, as Mary our Mother pondered in her heart ALL Jesus said and did. By His Grace, let us begin now.

Dear OScaret, Greenfields, TTLE and Tad,

Thanks for stopping by to read this thread I began yesterday, and for liking it. It is so important for all of us to listen for, and to hear the Voice of Jesus the Good Shepherd, when we listen to God’s Word, and that we ask for His Grace to do the Truth we hear.

Today we celebrate the Feast of those Saints in Heaven who did keep asing, seeking and knocking and the door to heaven was opened for them! Happy and Holy Feast of All Saints to each of you and to all!

Thank you Maria Christi, and a happy and holy feast of All Saints to you also 🙂

Dear Greenfields,

You are very welcome! We just returned from the 7:15 AM Mass, offered by a very devout priest from Ghanna, Africa, who recently joined our Legion of Mary Praesidium – Queen of Peace Praesidium – as an Auxiliary Member. He is more reverent than we have seen here in awhile, and we really appreciate His humble reverence in all he says and does – especially when he offers the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. He loves our Blessed Mother. Devotion to Mary is not always seen in some priests and laity, which is so sad to me.

When the Deacon finished reading the Prayers of the Faithful, Father began the concluding Prayer with : "Let us invoke her who leads all the Saints, “Hail Mary, full of Grace…” and ended the prayer with : “We ask all these things though Our Lord Jesus Christ”.

All the saints have learned by God’s Grace to obey the Words of Jesus from His Cross:
“Behold your Mother”
The Saints, like St. John, the Beloved Disciple, took Mary into their lives. She is Queen of ALL Saints, and Queen of Heaven – She is the Queen Mother of Christ the King!

All you Holy Angels and Saints pray for us to the King and Queen of Heaven and earth, Amen.
