Does anyone know if Lee Strobel has converted to Catholicism? I really thought I read this somewhere by can’t find any information on it, so it makes me think it’s not true. He wrote “The Case for Christ” if that jogs your memory.

Thanks!

If he has, there’s no note of it on Wikipedia or his personal website.

It would be a wonderful thing to find that he did. Even more so if he got his friend Hank Hannagraff to follow him.

But I am not holding my breath.

Actually, I just finished a couple of his books. I was very surprised that he, as a protestant, would interview Peter Kreeft in such a positive light. But, in The Case for Faith, there are some very anti-catholic views when speaking of hell and judgement (no mention of purgatory or redemptive suffering), and his ‘expert’ basically blamed the crusades and the inquisitions on the popes at the time, never mentioning that the crusades were really to defend Christian Europe from muslim invaders, and the inquisitions were started legitimately to root out heresy, but then were taken too far. In fact the Spanish Inq. was started by the king, not the pope. So still some learning to go before he ‘gets’ the Catholic viewpoint. But I did like his writing style.

I might confuse him with this guy

Also many skeptic do not take Strobel’s apologetics in the highest regard.
