www.newadvent.org Look up St Ignatius, St. Polycarp, St. Ireneus. And yes, www.fathersknowbest.com by Jimmy Akin is fabulous.

I second the recommendation of newadvent.org

You should try reading them yourself. newadvent.org has tons of free primary source writings of the Fathers: newadvent.org/fathers/

It is a wealth of information, and they have denominated the positions of the writers by their names (e.g. Saint, Doctor).

This is a fantastic collection of the Pope’s weekly reflections from several years ago when he covered the Fathers: amazon.com/Church-Fathers-Clement-Rome-Augustine/dp/158617245X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1305069320&sr=1-1. I really enjoyed it. It will give you a great idea of the works of the Fathers that are most important, and you can seek those out individually if you want.
