Know of any books about Catholic medical workers?

I work in the medical field. There is a lot of seriousness in the field I work in, but it is easy to become flippant. A lot of medical workers become that way.

**Please, do you know of any books that talk about Catholic saints who worked in the medical field? I would like to know how to think, how to have my mind prepared, how to conduct myself. **

I already have basic answers in my mind of how to be: treat every patient like Jesus. However, reading about a saint’s life often helps one to grasp the gravity of it all.

Again, I’m looking for books about saints in the medical field. Doctors, nurses–whoever. I would like to read about their personalities, how they went about their work, and what went through their mind. Their struggles.
 
I have never heard of any such book but I have known a few catholic nurses and doctors.

I think you need to demonstrate authentic relaxed unconditional love and serve them not treat them like hey are there to serve you with respect or honors.

Also be as holy as you can be and practice the five stones. Doctors are leaders in society whether they want to be or not. People look up to them and many will follow their example.

The only catholic physicians I have specifically heard about are psychiatrists who are involved in deliverance ministry or psychiatrists who are also priests and involved in deliverance ministry.

I still have not come across any books about this topic. However, one resource I just came across was this: The Catholic Medical Association

Also, they have a publication titled, The Linacre Quarterly. They have annual dues, and for a radiographer like myself, it would be around $150. I wonder if it would be worth it.
 
Perhaps a biography of Saint Gianna Molla?

Here’s an article on the Servant of God Doctor Mary Glowrey, an Australian doctor in the early 20th century who became a missionary nun in India, and who will (please God!) one day be declared a saint:

Like a previous poster, I would suggest reading about St. Giuseppe Moscati. Unfortunately, there aren’t any biographies of him in English, but you can get information on-line. The movie version of his life is good, but somewhat fictionalized.
