I am always rather … tentative about Washington Post information and accurate reporting - I guess with the financial clout that Planned Parenthood has I am aware that it could be quite easy to buy good P.R.
That aside. Let’s
assume
the statisitcs are accurate for debate’s sake. You say only 2% are abortions? Yet I see that 35% of the pie chart is contraception. Much ‘contraception’ (the Pill, the ‘Morning After Pill’ as well etc.)
is abortion by Catholic Dogma lights. Yes?
As far as the defunding Planned Parenthood will hurt a great number of women … Well! We must temper this idea with this
newsrealblog.com/2011/04/08/planned-parenthood-lies-pro-choice-people-should-condemn/8/ .

Bold Lettering mine
I find it interesting in your post that you refer to Pro -Life people / organizations as ‘Anti- Abortion’
Why is it Pro -Life people do not get the same ‘Politically Correct’ respect as other groups when it comes to terminology? Hmmmmmmmmm…
BlueEyedLady Wrote: “Condemning the entire organization and their entire mission is like condemning the entire CC and refusing to give them money because it may go to fund the defense of priests accused or convicted of child abuse. Of course the CC does a lot of good, but it does put money towards things like that. Same with Komen and PP.”
This is a Non Sequitur. Priests, by definiton of their vocation, are not an organization that
promotes evil (abortion which -let’s call it what it is - a blood sacrifice to evil - however inadvertently it may be unknowingly perpetrated.) Planned Parenthood, as I have stated earlier,
deliberately practices their …craft.

Regardless, when the CC (or any other anti-abortion group) sets up that many clinics that provide that quality of care to women in need they can complain about PP. But the fact of the matter is without them, a lot of women would have no where else to go to get preventative care and treatment for some very serious and painful conditions. Suggesting that they all be shut down will hurt the poor tremendously."
Italics mine. So! You will vote in
favor of the ‘Faith Based Initiatives’ to facilitate
healthy alternatives to Planned Parenthood?
Instead of perhaps (verbally at least) supporting Planned Parenthood I.E, that which militates IMHO - and militates is the right word here IMH
O- agianst competition? Ahemmmm?
I could go on if you wish…
