The Korean National Council of Churches sent a load of flour from the value of 100 thousand dollars to North Korea through unofficial channels. Seoul condemns the act and threatens an investigation, while a source tells AsiaNews: "The gesture is understandable but unwise. It is likely to worsen the situation for North Koreans. "

God bless these Christians for trying to do the right thing. I don’t think they could have made things any worse than they already are.

This is a tough subject, one which I am well read on. I do not condone this, as the flour will likely go straight to the government and will not help the situation. Until KJI allows agencies into his country to really oversee aid distribution, this will be a tough subject. Although they were attempting to help in some way, they broke an international law, and probably will have to pay for it.
