again, Allah is not the name of a once ignorant arab god…that was a different name…allot…allat…that is totally different.

Allah is the name He chose for Himself.

“Allah” has come to MEAN “God”, and it is not the name of the “god” of islam. “Allah” was indeed the chief god worshipped by the pagan Arabs, but in the 1400 years since, the word has come to bear the meaning of “God” - not the name of a god.

Secondly, I don’t know who “Yahweh” is - because the pronounciation of the tetragram יהוה is uncertain.
So, to be precise, we Christians could say "there is no God but יהוה ", but to say “There is no god but Yahweh” would be running the risk of mispronouncing God’s name…
**You are frightened for nothing. It was the old time Jewish clergy that kept the name of God secret from common people on some pretext. There was no need to do that. There is no sin to call the God by his name. All good names are His. See the good teachings of the Quran about it in verse 7:180,

[7:180] And to Allah alone belong all the good names (perfect attributes). So call on Him by these attributes. And leave alone those who deviate from the right way with respect to His names (attributes). They shall be requited for what they do.**

So All good names belong to Allah and we may call him by any of those names. And God is the creator God of all nations of the world, not God of any one nation.

See the good teachings of the Quran about it in verse 7:180,

[7:180] And to Allah alone belong all the good names (perfect attributes). So call on Him by these attributes. And leave alone those who deviate from the right way with respect to His names (attributes). They shall be requited for what they do.
Once more you are distorting your own scripture through ignorance/dishonesty. If we check the context of the verse, we see that the verse has nothing to do with Judaism or the way Jews revere God’s holy name:

Surah 7:180
He whom Allah leadeth, he indeed is led aright, while he whom Allah sendeth astray - they indeed are losers. Already have We urged unto hell many of the jinn and humankind, having hearts wherewith they understand not, and having eyes wherewith they see not, and having ears wherewith they hear not. These are as the cattle - nay, but they are worse! These are the neglectful. Allah’s are the fairest names. Invoke Him by them. And leave the company of those who blaspheme His names. They will be requited what they do.
[7:180]
So All good names belong to Allah and we may call him by any of those names. And God is the creator God of all nations of the world, not God of any one nation.
Your Koran rebuts your claims:

Surah 2:47
O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you and how I preferred you to (all) creatures.

Surah 3:33

Lo! Allah preferred Adam and Noah and the Family of Abraham and the Family of 'Imran above (all His) creatures.

Allah seems to be unaware of your statements.

This sounds like another assumption, but anyway 😉
🙂
First, I should remind you that none of the Gospels was written as Jesus’ biography. You assert that there is limited information about Jesus’ life and teachings in the New Testament primarily because you mistakenly regard the Gospels as books written to relate Jesus’ whole life story.
And that is the very point. Doesn’t matter it is biography or something else, we don’t have much information about his life and teachings.
What we read in the canonical Gospels is by no means limited since the Gospels give testimony to what Jesus taught when He began His prophetic mission at the age of thirty.
Then all the gospels are supposed to give the same testimony about Jesus (a) and his teachings. What testimony you get from the below gospels.

Situation 1

Mark 6:51-52: “Teacher, do you not care if we drown?”
Matthew 14:32-33: “Lord, save us! We are perishing.”
Disciples rebuked Jesus (a) or prayed to Jesus (a)?

Situation 2

What Jesus (a) called himself “the master of the house” (Mark 13:35) or “your Lord” (Matthew 24:42)?

What if I say Mark was correct in both the gospels and Matthew is wrong, would you accept? Anyway, both cannot be true at the same time in both situations.
More to the point, one-third of every Gospel relates Jesus’ passion in details, which makes sense when one remembers that Jesus’ passion and resurrection are of primary significance with regard to the basic tenets of Christianity about atonement and salvation.
True. Thats why it is like Gospels are made according to Christian faith rather than christians can rely their faith on the truth of Gospels.
Since statements like “I am the way, truth, and life” IS in the Gospel of John, it is irrational to claim that these teachings are missing from the Gospel.😉
What is wrong in saying this passage is missing in Mk, Mt and Lk if it is truly missing in those gospels as we all know?

Everytime I ask for a saying of Jesus (a) as claiming to be God, christians do quote this passage to me, because it is a very important saying for Christians, from Jesus (a), as an evidence for his divinity.

Now, think about it, if it is imporatnt for the christians today, wouldn’t it be important for the disciples at that time? wouldn’t all believers discuss about it? wouldn’t it be an imporatnt saying of Jesus (a) for the gospel writers? But why Mark, Matthew and Luke missed to write it in the gospels? Why only John knew this quote?
Whatever written in the Gospels about Jesus is by the power and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Jesus commanded His disciples to preach His teaching to the nations. Everything we know and teach about Jesus is dependent on Him.
OK. Spiritual Inspiration is yet to confirm as we are discussing the differences in the gospels.
inJESUS wrote that post in response to hamba2han, who was the first person to bring up this issue by contending that certain gestures and positions during a prayer were more significant than some others.
I don’t know in what context he said that. Anyway, that is not against my claim. I said, actions without faith is nothing for God as answer to the argument of inJESUS, “Jesus (a) mentionned other “forms” of prayer like standing up or looking up which means God is not that interested in positions.” where we know for sure that all the teachings of Jesus (a) is not there in the gospels. We don’t know if he taught of positions during prayer.

But christians do follow certains positions during prayer like falling on kneel. I don’t know who taught that if not Jesus (a).
Different teachings? No way.
2 situations and different teachings are mentioned above.
Different accounts of the same event in the Gospels result from the Evangelists’ wish to approach the same tenet/teaching from a different perspective and to address a different audience while proclaiming Jesus’ same truth.
Answer the above. Then we will come to the reason for the differences.

🙂
And that is the very point. Doesn’t matter it is biography or something else, we don’t have much information about his life and teachings.
I cannot see any point in your argument. What kind of information would satisfy you and prevent you from claiming that the New Testament has limited knowledge about Jesus??? The Evangelists did not need to write their testimonies in the form of encyclopedias or of a novel in many volumes. If you are expecting the Gospels to be similar to a diary in form and content, get ready for disappointment.

I would also like you to give me an example to show what you actually mean when you say there is not enough information about Jesus in the New Testament?
Then all the gospels are supposed to give the same testimony about Jesus (a) and his teachings. What testimony you get from the below gospels.

Situation 1

Mark 6:51-52: “Teacher, do you not care if we drown?”

What if I say Mark was correct in both the gospels and Matthew is wrong, would you accept? Anyway, both cannot be true at the same time in both situations.
First, it would be irrational to claim that Matthew was wrong because Mark was correct or vice versa. How can you deny the possibility that Jesus’ disciples both rebuked Him and prayed to Him during a storm??? Jesus’ disciples asked Him for help (prayer) with a rebuking and defiant tone since He was sleeping at the time of the crisis. I can see nothing contradictory here.

Furthermore, you say you are quoting verses from the Gospels to highlight Jesus’ supposedly different teachings, but the first example you refer to has nothing to do with Jesus’ teachings. Those two verses you quoted only point out the difference in the way Jesus’ disciples reacted to Him before He allayed the storm.

The word Lord is linguistically associated with the phrase “Master of the House”. Jesus used the same notion with the same sense (being the owner and ruler of the world) althouugh the Evangelists used different signifiers while referring to the same signified.
True. Thats why it is like Gospels are made according to Christian faith rather than christians can rely their faith on the truth of Gospels.
This argument makes no sense. The Gospels were written after Jesus’ disciples witnessed Jesus’ passion and saw Him alive after His death. What determined the significance of Jesus’ passion and resurrection was the Spirit of God, who helped Jesus’ chosen ones understand the scriptures and the reasons for Jesus’ actions.

But why Mark, Matthew and Luke missed to write it in the gospels? Why only John knew this quote?
In order to prove your allegation that this verse is missing from the Gospel of the three Evangelists, you should primarily prove that Matthew, Mark, and Luke had been commanded to write their Gospels in the same way as John or that Matthew, Mark, and Luke had originally included this statement to their written testimonies.

It is not true that only John knew that quote. Jesus’ apostles knew the quote, but only John added it into His Gospel. It is a logical fallacy to suppose that the things not included into a text are definitely the things unknown by the author. It is probable that the author chose to leave certain things out in accordance with his writing style.
OK. Spiritual Inspiration is yet to confirm as we are discussing the differences in the gospels.
Waiting for your assumptions and objections.

These allegations are rebutted above.
Answer the above. Then we will come to the reason for the differences.
Waiting for more questions.

Jesus’ disciples asked Him for help (prayer) with a rebuking and defiant tone since He was sleeping at the time of the crisis. I can see nothing contradictory here.
Here is my point and the example. You don’t know what exactly happened and have to go beyond the gospel and assume some possibility!!! I can give you other possibilities but the fact remains as we don’t know what was exact conversation happened in that boat.

I didn’t say it is a contradiction, but difference in the details of the same event in different gospels.
Yes. I agree. But the 2nd situation is. Both the situations shows us difference in the details of the same event in different gospels becasue the disciples wrote things from their knowledge and understanding and then circulated among their audience. Audience of Mark couldn’t possibly know what John wrote. They were unable to read gospels together, side by side as we can do today.
The word Lord is linguistically associated with the phrase “Master of the House”. Jesus used the same notion with the same sense (being the owner and ruler of the world) althouugh the Evangelists used different signifiers while referring to the same signified.

Again assumption? I know why you do that always. Because of the same reason, we don’t know what exactly happened.
Waiting for your assumptions and objections.

It seems that you have not read hamba2han’s posts on this thread yet. I can no more discuss this issue with you unless you read and understand hamba2han’s point.
I have made my point. Actions without faith doesn’t mean anything to God. If he disagree, he is open to argue. I hope he agree on it.
These allegations are rebutted above.

Logic says that if 4 different people are talking about the same incident, there must be some variations in details…but what would we conclude about the Quran, written allegedly by 1 all-knowing author, yet presenting us with the same incidents in differing details, like in:

“Behold! We sent To thy mother, by inspiration, The Message: Throw (the child) Into the chest, and throw (The chest) into the river: The river will cast him Up the bank, and he will be taken up by one Who is an enemy to Me And an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment Of) love over thee from Me: And (this) in order that Thou mayest be reared Under Mine eye. Behold thy sister goeth forth And saith, Shall I show you One who will nurse And rear the (child)?’ So We brought thee back To thy mother, that her eye Might be cooled and she Should not grieve. Then thou didst slay A man, but We saved thee From trouble, and We tried Thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years With the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither As ordained, O Moses!” [S. 20:38-40]

"So we sent this inspiration To the mother of Moses: `Suckle (thy child), but when Thou hast Fears about him, Cast him into the river, But Fear not nor grieve: For We shall restore him To Thee, and We shall make Him one of Our apostles… And she said to the sister Of (Moses), “Follow him”. So she (the sister) Watched him In the character of a stranger. And they knew not. And We ordained that he Refused suck at first, until (His sister came up and) said: "Shall I Point out to you the people Of a house that will nourish And bring him up For you And be sincerely attached To him?.. Thus did We restore him To his mother, that Her eye might be comforted, that she might not grieve, and that She might know the promise of God is true: but Most of them do not understand. [S. 28:7,11-13]

or maybe the 3 different passages talking about Moses and the burning bush yet the author is supposed to be one and all-knowing?

My point and the example follows.

You have not given me any examples yet to clarify what you mean when you say the information about Jesus in the New Testament is inadequate. Your examples and quotes have been related to the variation in the accounts of the Gospels so far.
Here is my point and the example. You don’t know what exactly happened and have to go beyond the gospel and assume some possibility!!! I can give you other possibilities but the fact remains as we don’t know what was exact conversation happened in that boat.
What do you mean we do not know what happened
I am only reminding you that what you state about the Gospels are not clear facts, but presumptions.

All the Evangelists agree that Jesus was asleep when Jesus’ disciples were caught in a storm and that Jesus performed a miracle by allaying the storm and manifesting His authority/dominion. One of the Evangelists chose to emphasise Jesus’ disciples’ reaction to His sleep whereas the other chose to emphasise the disciples’ shouts for help, both of which point out the identical fact: Jesus’ disicples were very much afraid and desperate. I see nothing wrong with the difference in those accounts.
I didn’t say it is a contradiction, but difference in the details of the same event in different gospels.
So what? What does your reference to those differences iilustrate?
Yes.
Those Christians at first could not read John’s Gospel side by side with Mark’s Gospel for sure, but this by no means implies that those Christians had been unaware of the teachings in John’s Gospel. Those early Christians heard “Jesus’ Gospel” at the same time before having access to the written texts. Thus, they knew Jesus’ teaching although they could not read some of the Gospels.
You have to assume again what Jesus (a) could have said. What was that original notion Jesus (a) used in the original event?
The original notion Jesus pertained to was “a man who dominated over people” (Emperor, King, Tzar, Duke… whatever). This is no assumption since we know that Jesus used a phrase to express His authority. Claiming that Jesus said either Lord or Master of the House is an assumption though.
Who are that chosen ones?
Jesus’ followers, of course.
I don’t have to prove. Just read Mk, Mt and Lk. We know that the passage is not there. And the reason is what we have to find out. Instead of asking me, ask yourself, why such an important quote of Jesus (a) is not mentioned in the scenoptic gospels?
It is YOUR duty to prove since YOU assert that Jesus’ statements in John’s Gospel had to be recorded by the other three Evangelists. You answer yourself when you pose that question. John’s Gospel is different from the Synoptics.
Again assumption? I know why you do that always. Because of the same reason, we don’t know what exactly happened.
How can we be sure that what you claim is true? How can we know exactly that the three Evangelists forgot to write the things related by John? Your starting point is a number of assumptions although you seem to consider them facts.

Yes, Saint Michael. Christmas is another great example. The Church chose one of the biggest pagan festivals for the feast of Christmas as a bold statement that Christianity had superceded paganism. To say that by pointing that out, I am calling the Church pagan is just as off-base as accusing me of saying that Allah in Islam is a pagan god because the word came from paganism.
But, it is a pagan god. Nothing of mohammed’s god is similar to the God of the Jews and the Christians. In fact, mohammed made it up, and changed his own pagan god as he needed to. At one point he was even going to throw in three goddesses of his pagan religion until he was advised not to do that. Their names were Al-'Uzza, al-Lat and Manah.

He only tried to make the correlation to allah being the same God as the Jews and Christians because he wanted to convert them to his new religion that he thought up. This is also why the Biblical stories are not correct - he was also illiterate and didn’t know them and his memory, obviously, was bad.

If mohammed needed money - he would say that basically allah told him to raid caravans, he waged war and said that it was allah’s orders to do so, he would lust after his son’s wife and said that allah said it was ok to have her - his son gave her to him on hearing this, mohammed, he realized that it would be better not to slaughter all the men when they went on their raids so he said that allah told him that they could live if they paid the jizya and subjugated themselves to muslims, and the atrocities go on with allah and mohammed. And keep in mind that this goes into sin and why their sin is defined so differently - mohammed had to change it because he sinned against so many of the commandments (if he even knew them). So, sin became halal, haram (halal and haram are what mohammed said to do and not to do in islam) and shirk.

It is all from their own koran and hadiths all this information can be gotten. When I read that our own Church says that the god of islam is the same God of the Jews and the Christians, all I got to say is that they have not read the koran and hadiths, nor do they know the history of islam.

Logic says that if 4 different people are talking about the same incident, there must be some variations in details…
I agree. In that case, logically we will not take any single report to reconstruct the exact event. Will we? If 4 report differ in detail, we can conclude that the actual event could be something similar but not exactly as in any report.

And then logically, if 4 reports of the same event differs with one another, we know that these are humanly error as writers reporting it according to the information they got and their understand of the event. But if you claim a spiritual inspiration in those writings, the issue is different.
but what would we conclude about the Quran, written allegedly by 1 all-knowing author, yet presenting us with the same incidents in differing details, like in:

[S. 28:7,11-13]

or maybe the 3 different passages talking about Moses and the burning bush yet the author is supposed to be one and all-knowing?
Use logic again. God quoting history to clear certain points. As far as he is not reporting the actual event with complete details, we do assume the same thing that, the actual event happened in the life of Moses (a) could be something similar as mentioned in different passages. As the Monotheistic faith and message of Moses (a) is clear in the Quran we are not worried about reconstructing the entire life of Moses (a). Even if a recunstructon, it is possible with the above passages without any difference or contradiction. Look below.

Here God speaking to Mother of Moses (a).

"So we sent this inspiration To the mother of Moses: `Suckle (thy child), but when Thou hast Fears about him, Cast him into the river, But Fear not nor grieve: For We shall restore him To Thee, and We shall make Him one of Our apostles…

Here God mentioning that event to Moses (a).

“Behold! We sent To thy mother, by inspiration, The Message: `Throw (the child) Into the chest, and throw (The chest) into the river: The river will cast him Up the bank, and he will be taken up by one Who is an enemy to Me And an enemy to him’: But I cast (the garment Of) love over thee from Me: And (this) in order that Thou mayest be reared Under Mine eye.”

Here Mother of Moses (a) asking his sister to follow him.

“And she said to the sister Of (Moses), “Follow him”. So she (the sister) Watched him In the character of a stranger. And they knew not.”

Here God mentioning that and the question she asked.

“Behold thy sister goeth forth And saith, `Shall I show you One who will nurse And rear the (child)?’”

Here God gives the reason for the requirment of a lady to breed him with the question of sister in detail without any contradiction in the meaning.

"And We ordained that he Refused suck at first, until (His sister came up and) said: “Shall I Point out to you the people Of a house that will nourish And bring him up For you And be sincerely attached To him?..”

Here God gives the reason for all these scenes.

“So We brought thee back To thy mother, that her eye Might be cooled and she Should not grieve.”

Here God gives the reason with more detail.

“Thus did We restore him To his mother, that Her eye might be comforted, that she might not grieve, and that She might know the promise of God is true:”

Here God gives his point of mentioning the event in S. 28:7,11-13. God talking about people who disbelieve even after seeing God fulfilling his promises

“but Most of them do not understand”.

Here God gives his point of mentioning the event in S. 20:38-40. God explaining Moses (a) what all he did for him.

Then thou didst slay A man, but We saved thee From trouble, and We tried Thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years With the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither As ordained, O Moses!"

Come on inJESUS, lets do it in the spirit of learning each other. I always thought you are better than anyone in the forum and knows many things about Islam. But disappointing.

**They should not forbid you to believe in One God. If you say you believe in One God only, that is your faith. You should be permitted to register as such. Nobody should stop you.

And that applies to name of Allah. There is no harm if any one wants to call God as Allah, it should be alright. But I believe there are many misled Mullas in various countries and they do such wild bad things.**.

**The Quran repeats the messages to strenghten the earlier one. And they are all true. Nothing against each other. Each time an incident is mentioned there is some new information in it which was not in the previous one. And it is alright even if it is nothing new in it. That could act as a reminder of the same old message. No problem in repeating it.

What the writers of the four gospels were doing? They were just repeating things from themselves. So the whole biography of Jesus can be reduced to 1/4. That will be very little message from Jesus. The reason being that he did not have enough time to do anything.

His opponents caught up with him too quickly and he had to disappear too quickly and never to be seen again because he was a condemned man (believed to be killed on the cross). The period of three years was too short for Jesus to do anything constructive. He did his best but time was short.**

I agree. In that case, logically we will not take any single report to reconstruct the exact event. Will we? If 4 report differ in detail, we can conclude that the actual event could be something similar but not exactly as in any report.
Your statements get illogical since none of the Gospels claim to report the exact event. Differences in the accounts have various reasons: the Evangelist’s choice of vocabulary, the Evangelist’s choice of focus, the Evangelist’s choice of theological priorities, cultural peculiarities of the addressed audience…
And then logically, if 4 reports of the same event differs with one another, we know that these are humanly error as writers reporting it according to the information they got and their understand of the event. But if you claim a spiritual inspiration in those writings, the issue is different.
How you can conclude that differences are errors is beyond me.

The Evangelists wrote their testimonies freely as no one dictated anything to them.

This kind of textual variations in the Koran pertain to a big problem that cannot be solved easily. Since these apparent and undeniable differences occur in a single book that is supposedly dictated by Allah (one person), the reasons underlying the variations in an account seem rather odd. One might wonder why the same author (supposedly Allah) relates the same story from different perspectives???

More, the differences between the accounts of Moses’ childhood are by no means limited to the use of different viewpoints. If a reader of the Koran poses a few questions, it becomes impossible to reconstruct the exact event as many details fail to overlap. For instance,

1)What did Allah instruct Moses’ mother to do through inspiration:

a) To throw the baby into the river:

Surah 28:7
And We inspired the mother of Moses, saying: Suckle him and, when thou fearest for him, then cast him into the river and fear not nor grieve.

b) To put the baby in an ark and throw the ark into the river:

Surah 20:38-39
When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river.
  1. Did Allah tell Moses’ mother that her baby would be taken by the Pharaoh?
a) YES:

Surah 20:38-39
When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him.

b) NO:

Surah 28:7
And We inspired the mother of Moses, saying: Suckle him and, when thou fearest for him, then cast him into the river and fear not nor grieve. Lo! We shall bring him back unto thee and shall make him (one) of Our messengers.

It is impossbile to get the exact words Allah suposedly told Moses’ mother through inspiration. 😉

The Quran repeats the messages to strenghten the earlier one. And they are all true. Nothing against each other. Each time an incident is mentioned there is some new information in it which was not in the previous one. And it is alright even if it is nothing new in it. That could act as a reminder of the same old message. No problem in repeating it.
This weak theory can be easily debunked when we remember that many significant issues are related only once throughout the Koran. For instance, one might ask why Allah did not repeat the story of Abraham’s intention to offer His son as a sacrifice?? Why is there no repetition of this significant account?
**
What the writers of the four gospels were doing? They were just repeating things from themselves. So the whole biography of Jesus can be reduced to 1/4. That will be very little message from Jesus. The reason being that he did not have enough time to do anything.**
Your argument is worthless since no Gospel was meant to be Jesus’ biography. The only thing you can do in this forum is to deny your own faulty presumptions. Keep entertaining yourself 😉
**
His opponents caught up with him too quickly and he had to disappear too quickly and never to be seen again because he was a condemned man (believed to be killed on the cross). The period of three years was too short for Jesus to do anything constructive. He did his best but time was short.**
According to the Gospels, Jesus accomplished His mission on earth through His death.

According to your Koran, however, He could do nothing since He was suddenly taken away from this world by Allah, who was afraid of Jesus’ adversaries and could do nothing to stop them 😃

You have not given me any examples yet to clarify what you mean when you say the information about Jesus in the New Testament is inadequate. Your examples and quotes have been related to the variation in the accounts of the Gospels so far.

OK. I agree. But I said, you don’t get that agrrement of all evangelists from the gospels, but outside of Gospel which is an assumption. As much certainity you can give to the assumption that both rebuke and prayer happened, I can give to the assumption either one happened and the other is wrong.
So what? What does your reference to those differences iilustrate?
Still confused?
Those Christians at first could not read John’s Gospel side by side with Mark’s Gospel for sure, but this by no means implies that those Christians had been unaware of the teachings in John’s Gospel. Those early Christians heard “Jesus’ Gospel” at the same time before having access to the written texts. Thus, they knew Jesus’ teaching although they could not read some of the Gospels.
Again, you are making assumptions. And as you have said below, I don’t think all three scenoptic gospel writers forgot that passage. But it can be the result of the evolving story about Jesus (a) that was circulating among the people.
The original notion Jesus pertained to was “a man who dominated over people” (Emperor, King, Tzar, Duke… whatever). This is no assumption since we know that Jesus used a phrase to express His authority. Claiming that Jesus said either Lord or Master of the House is an assumption though. ]
See. Now I am confused. You a re saying, Jesus (a) used a word that mean something like Emperor, King, Tzar, Duke etc. that is not an assumption but you are assuming what exactly he said. Unless you know what exactly is the word he used, how can you be so sure about the meaning of that unknown word? Or si it like, whatever Jesus (s) could have said, the meaning must mean “a man who dominated over people” ?
Jesus’ followers, of course.
And they wrote according to their own understanding. right?
It is YOUR duty to prove since YOU assert that Jesus’ statements in John’s Gospel had to be recorded by the other three Evangelists. You answer yourself when you pose that question. John’s Gospel is different from the Synoptics.
Rather than thinking of the reason, you are running away from the problem with an assumption. At least tell me your openion about why such an important saying of Jesus (a) is not found in scenoptic gospels?

I think the story about Jesus (a) was getting developed over time and by circulating mouth to mouth. Thats why we can find many other sayings of Jesus (a), like a divine being, like the christians believe in him today, only in john’s gospel. People were not much intersted in writing down the exact sayings of Jesus (a) for many years. Thats is why even the lord’s prayer got two versions in the gospels.

Why john’s gospel is different from the scenoptics?
How can we be sure that what you claim is true? How can we know exactly that the three Evangelists forgot to write the things related by John? Your starting point is a number of assumptions although you seem to consider them facts.
🙂 Only 10 % from the life of Jesus (a) is mentioned in the gospels. In that 10 %, 99 % of his teachings are assumptions. (I give 1% chance to you if there is even a single saying of Jesus (a) mentioned all 4 gospels with exact same words.) Then some of my assumption has to be facts as you know every assumption got 50% possibility.

OK. Then we should not take any event or saying in the gospels literally, including the claims about the divinity of Jesus (a).
How you can conclude that differences are errors is beyond me.
The Evangelists wrote their testimonies freely as no one dictated anything to them.
It is errors if we have to find the actual event, in differences.

Can be misunderstanding of the reader as well. Lets check the examples.

Both verses have different context. God quoting history to mention certain points. God was not reporting the actual event or saying. If he is clear with his point, he made his intention. The actual event cannot be recunstructed other than assuming and we are ashamed to accept that.

It is impossible. We assume that the actual event happened in the life of Moses (a) could be something similar as mentioned in different passages. You think it is impossible to get the agreement of all the Evangelists from the Gospels, which is an assumption. 🤷

Primarily, the Evangelists agree that Jesus performed a miracle by allaying a storm. This is the major point of agreement. Secondarily, the Evangelists agree that Jesus’ disciples asked Him for help when they were scared and desperate. Consequently, it is irrational to presume that the Evangelists do not agree because one of them focuses on how fear caused Jesus’ disciples to rebuke Him for being asleep at the time of a crisis. This is a minor detail.

You cannot say that either one happened or the other is wrong, for it is possible and reasonable for humans to ask for help from someone and rebuke the same person at the same time.
Still confused?
I am all the more confused when I see that you do not understand the reason for my confusion.
Again, you are making assumptions. And as you have said below, I don’t think all three scenoptic gospel writers forgot that passage. But it can be the result of the evolving story about Jesus (a) that was circulating among the people.
What is that so-called “evolving story of Jesus”? Assumption!
Sorry, but this is an irrational argument. Why do you think we have to know the exact word Jesus used??? How is it possible to know Jesus’ exact words if we take into consideration the fact that Jesus spoke two languages??? What will your next argument be? Will you say it is impossible to know the exact meaning of the word Jesus used without seeing His gestures and facial expressions?

It is also wrong to conclude that we cannot be sure about the meaning of the word, for the Evangelists use different signifiers to use the same NOTION. Both the word “Lord” and the phrase “Master of the House” are linguistically and logically associated. This is an undeniable thing we know exactly.
And they wrote according to their own understanding. right?
Nope. They were inspired and controlled by God to write their testimonies although they were free to determine the vocabulary, plot, literary figures, etc.
Rather than thinking of the reason, you are running away from the problem with an assumption. At least tell me your openion about why such an important saying of Jesus (a) is not found in scenoptic gospels?
Again you are repeating the assumption that such an important statement must be in the synoptic Gospels. You cannot teach the Evangelists what to add and what to leave out.
This is your presumption. It is an essentially mistaken presumption because there are many verses referring to Jesus’ divinity in the synoptic Gospels. For instance:

Matthew 11:27
All things are delivered to me by my Father. And no one knoweth the Son but the Father: neither doth any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom it shall please the Son to reveal him.
Why john’s gospel is different from the scenoptics?
This is because John did not employ in his Gospel the major plot used by the other three Evangelists. His Gospel is the most theological and didactic one in content
How can you be so sure about your personal assumptions? What helps you present yourself as an accurate statistician?

Besides, you are still evading my question: what is the significant information about Jesus’ life that is allegedly missing from the Gospels??? Please provide an example. 🙂

OK. Then we should not take any event or saying in the gospels literally, including the claims about the divinity of Jesus (a).
Why is that? This argument is by no means related to my statement. Your conclusion only functions to show that you either deliberately or intentionally misunderstand me.
It is errors if we have to find the actual event, in differences.
Where is the actual event that you can find?
Can be misunderstanding of the reader as well. Lets check the examples.
When the Gospels are in question, you somehow discard this possibility as an assumption. 😉
Both verses have different context. God quoting history to mention certain points. God was not reporting the actual event or saying. If he is clear with his point, he made his intention. The actual event cannot be recunstructed other than assuming and we are ashamed to accept that.
You are finally agreeing with me that there are differences in the alleged one book of Allah. 🙂

Which verse reports the actual event? Which are the exact words Allah used while instructing Moses’ mother??? I see that you cannot give an answer.
It is impossible. We assume that the actual event happened in the life of Moses (a) could be something similar as mentioned in different passages. As the Monotheistic faith and message of Moses (a) is clear in the Quran we are not worried about reconstructing the entire life of Moses (a). None of the historical events mentioned in the Quran is used to recunstruct the actual event but to understand what God intented to point out.
This response is completely irrelevant to my questions. Please answer those questions because I want to know what Allah said to Moses’ mother exactly. 🙂
