In a recent thread on a Catholic forum, ( not Catholic Answers)
there was a discussion about the End Times.
A person claimed that in the year - 2437 A.D. Jesus would return. The person claimed this date could be calculated from Sacred Scripture, Bible chronology, and found in the secrets of La Salette. I have never read about La Salette but plan to in the near future.
Does anyone have any information on this because I have never read anything that would backup such a claim.
In Scipture it says only the Father knows the day and the hour, not the angels in heaven or even the Son. I believe in what I’ve read in Scripture; am I correct in this?

I’ve never heard anything like that coming from La Salette.

As aside you have to be careful when reading about the apparitions from La Salette. Some books about it ended up on the Index of Forbidden Books because they had stuff in there that wasn’t in the original messages. You’ll often find these false messages quoted on websites (especially those of a traditionalist bent). They say things like Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the Antichrist. So make sure you’re getting your info from a trustworthy source. 👍

You are correct. Be at peace.

Yes, you are right - only the Father knows. Anyone, but God the Father, claim to know when the end time or where the end time is a big liar or a big deceived-by-Satan person.

As Jesus says in the Bible, no one knows the day except His Father!

Just tell 'em Sir Isaac Newton (famous mathematician), also using the Bible (though not La Salette, which hadn’t happened yet) calculated that the world would end in 2060.

Assuming that the end date of the world IS calculable (not that I believe so for a second) I’d trust Newton’s calculations over most anybody’s any day.
