I wonder why there are so few times that parishes offer the Holy Exposition. One Church in my town offered it every Wednesday evening until Lent began. I had been attending every Wednesday since last July and now all of a sudden they are no longer having it…and I miss it.

On First Fridays we do not have it at the church I am registered at and none of the churches in town offer it. I wonder why…this would seem to me to be a wonderful way to bring people to our Lord on a regular basis.

During Holy Week we had Exposition for 3 days straight and not once did the person who had signed up for an hour not attend.

I am just curious…thank you.

Yeah before Vatican II we used to have forty hours devotion when the host was exposed and people were there all the time. It just seemed to have evaporated overnight. What happened? Now some parishes have perpetual adoration. Mine only has it five out of seven days.

Two years ago, our parish instituted Exposition every Thursday and the church sees a good number of people there throughout the day…and it ends in benediction where a good number of people attend as well. It’s the best thing that ever happened for our parish.

Even if they don’t have adoration, you can still to to church and pray in front of the tabernacle.

I go one hour a week to our adoration chapel…the same hour as the Holy Exposition used to be, so I am still finding good time with our Lord, but there was just something so beautiful about the Exposition. There were mostly older seniors there, but some teens and tweens…it is really missed.
