Ladies -question about mid-cycle spotting.

I use Nfp so I am very aware on where I am at in my cycle. I usually ovulate around day 17 -this month is was a little late day 20. Well was day 23 and I saw blood when I went to the bathroom early in the afternoon. I was pretty shocked because I knew it was too soon for my period. I still have spotting going on. It’s not like a regular period and I do not have any of my usually cramps going on but it’s definitely there. In all the years of tracking my cycles (10 years) this has never happened.
The only change I’ve made this month is taking a B12 vitamin and an Acidophilus supplement daily.
Is this something I should be worried about?

Two things make it go away: regular exercise, and Citrus Bioflavonoids Complex 1000 (allnutri.com/pid10218/citrus+bioflavonoids+complex+1000.aspx). I take one tablet per day.

Many times, I’ve gone off the vitamins (wishful thinking) hoping that “I’m all better now,” but the problem always reappears.

If you (or anyone else reading this) decides to start taking them, you should be aware that it takes about 2 months to have an effect.

I can’t guarantee that this will work for everyone, of course, but it’s worked for me for about 20 years now.

And the disclaimer: I’m not a doctor (and I don’t even play one on TV), so you should ask yours before taking them 😉
 
Could it be stress? (happens to me sometimes)
Honestly I don’t think so. I’m not under any particular stress right now and I have had major stressful times over the years and this has never happened.

I’m not sure I could take those. I’m on a med that bans me from grapefruit -I’m not sure if a grapefruit bioflavanoid counts.:confused:
 
Do you use Creighton? I get mid-cycle spotting and am told it’s low progesterone. Please see your doctor though–I know we aren’t supposed to give medical advice in any threads. I would not take any supplements without clearing it with your doctor first.
 
the creighton method talks about this symptom. It could be simply low progesterone (which was my problem. I took a natural progest supplement- given by my NFP only doc) and it fixed it.

You should probably talk to your doctor. I am nearing menopause, so my situation is certainly different from yours, but I have been told that this is something that should be reported. There are lots of things it could be, most of them are nothing to worry about, but your physician is the best person to determine what is going on.🙂
