Unfortunately, I cannot watch the Super Bowl as I have a son that I do not want to expose to the increased sexuality around this event, both in the half-time show, and the commercials. When I saw who was performing, I choose not to watch. I know that is not one of the options, but I think if the character, or lack thereof, of Lady Gaga motivated anyone else not to watch, it is a legitimate option.

Particularly offended? No. Would it be better is the performance weren’t done at all? Yes.

I actually was disappointed she did not sing God Bless America in its entirety. She has a beautiful voice.

She does indeed! I am not really a fan but was surprised by her voice.

It was a surprisingly good game that did not go as I expected.

The commercials this year were largely a disappointment. Meh…

Not offended, but we also turned it off right after she jumped off since you never know what she is going to do. We were all wondering if the mother-ship picked her up at the end and took her back to whatever planet she is from.

In the end no one I was watching with us really cared about the halftime or commercials and I couldn’t tell you about any of them. We spent most of the time talking and only caught maybe half the game.

Tony Bennett is a big fan of hers. I believe they made an album together.

Actually I thought that both the commercials and the half-time show were significantly less sexual this year than in recent times. That said, I would have preferred even some mildly crude commercial humor this year, in place of how it all got so politicized.

It did look like she raided David Bowie’s closet for that costume.

Born This Way has pretty offensive lyrics. and she and her dancers looked rather sleazy.

I was relieved that she did not turn it into a political rally. It was good, but not great. Some think it had satanic overtones to it, but it was not nearly as blatantly satanic as either Beyoncé’s or Katy Perry’s.

Her costumes, choreography, and song lyrics (abbreviated/edited) were pretty tame in comparison to her past work. I enjoyed her performance.

O.o Oh dear. I didn’t see it, but now I can imagine it quite well. XD Funny how both are/were kinda strange (Gaga more so, if I do say so myself), but their voices are/were amazing.

I’ve never been able to decipher the lyrics to songs I hear, so I don’t know what she was singing – except I heard “born this way” a few times.

In the recent presidential election campaign, Gaga was campaigning for Hillary Clinton. She told some college students that*** they should vote for Hillary to be a part of history by electing a woman.*** I’m sure some people did exactly that, but I think, seriously, that is about the dumbest way to throw away a person’s vote.

LG has talent, but she’s flaunting it to make money. she had a strong Catholic influence while growing up, but she seems not to have been adequately evangelized.

Thank you!

I guess I listened to her performance with a slant…looking for anything that would reveal political undertones, because I…well, we all…know where she stands.

So the way she said "with Liberty and Justice ‘for all’ " … I heard something in her tone.

all the lyrics of all her songs, I now wondered if she sang them for a particular reason, because I now interpreted them in a way I had never thought of before…and maybe she did too.

Kind of the way Ellen DeGeneres used ‘Finding Dory’ to slam Trump’s immigration ban.
I had never thought of that movie in that light before…who’d have thunk that cute little kids’ movie was about building a wall?

I’m sure it was just me :onpatrol:  🤷
