So I was trying to find a religious forum to have discussions about religions and jesus etc, the first forum i stumble upon was this forum.:eek:

They claim to be christians etc, although i respect how they interpret the bible and what they say but it just makes me sad how they could say such terrible things.

For example look at this threads.

I did more research about them on google, and was hoping that website had to be a joke. This gave me a little relieve.🙂

I guess I’m going to be converting to a cult. :extrahappy:

However, after perusing a few threads on their site, I can honestly say that I feel more at home in my new found “cult” than I would being in their (self affirmed) Christian company.

Indeed. I was shocked when I read a couple of there threads there, and there cult is huge too, theres a lot of people in it, and also they have tons of money, and charge like around 200 bucks to be saved and your warranty to be going to heaven LOL

Huge red flag when someone claiming to be a christian and their words proclaim racisism!
 
Ok, these people scare me! They are nuttier than fruitcakes!! I found the thread about contracting AIDS humorus, b/c none of it is true. The other thread about the husband walking in on his wife in the shower is rather disturbing. This is right out of a Maury show. Not allowing your wife to lock any of the doors unless you say other wise? That is “real” love for her, never mind safety. Daily paddlings? Did this guy marry a child? Makes me very happy I have the kind of husband I do, a kind one!! I agree with other posts, I am glad I am in the “catholick cult”. :crossrc:

I especially like the one named Sister Maria someone or other. Under her name it says “ex-papist wench”. And under other people’s names it says “unsaved trash” or “eternal damnation secured”.

Gotta love how they follow Christ’s example of love right?
 
If I recall correctly Landover Baptist IS indeed a joke. It was started (again IIRC) by some liberals who wanted to poke fun at conservative Evangelical Christianity.
 
Yeah, I confirm: LOB is a joke. I can’t speak for their forums, but the site itself and all official content is completely made up to poke fun at Baptists. I’ve occasionally laughed, especially at their articles poking fun at Baptists’ attitudes towards us “Mary-worshipping Catholics” (as I have known a few Baptists in real life who talk like that), but, for the most part, I find LOB’s brand of satire a little too hostile for my taste.
 
Yes, that whole group is a joke. I don’t know if all the people there treat it as such (not going to give them enough attention to find out). People looking for attention-nothing more.

Well, her character has been around for years. After so long, the author is likely re-hashing the same material. Warmed up leftovers often aren’t as good as the original meal.
 
I found it interesting that our corporate web filter blocked access; reason given was that the site promoted intolerance and hate. Not sure which concerns me more, the purported “humor” of the site, or the label assigned by our web filter.
