Hi all, I lapsed from the Catholic faith at the age of 21 when I met my non religious wife to be. It was a foolish choice based on what I considered to be cool. However, hardly a day went by when I didn’t regret that decision.

So last year I went about putting it right, to cut a long story short I had my marriage validated by radical sanation, and have been back to the sacraments since Christmas.

Every time I enter church and genuflect to Christ in the tabernacle, I’m filled with joy at coming home once more.

My wife accepts it and may even start to go with me to Mass. My five year old son, baptised in the Anglican Church loves going.

So pray for the lapsed, as I sincerely believe that the power of prayer brought me back.

Our father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary full of grace
The Lord is with you
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus
Holy Mary mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and in the hour of our death
Amen.

Eternal Father in whom mercy is endless
And treasury of compassion inexhaustible
Look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us
so that in difficult moments
we may not despair
nor become despondent
but with great confidence
submit ourselves to Your holy will
Which is love and mercy itself.
Amen.

Welcome back to the Church. It will provide you with several benefits in life.

Reading things like this gives hope and encouragement in these dark times. I also thank you for sharing … and am gladdened for you, your son and the possibility your wife will now be exposed to the Catholic Mystery …

:extrahappy:

Prayers for all lapsed Catholics, especially those inclined towards attending Mass today, Palm Sunday. :gopray:

Like you I had fallen away from the Church for the better part of ten years … Living in a common law situation (No need to go into that here, working on correcting it ) And have started attending mass with my , up till now non religious partner and two step children
