A lone gunman released a rapid-fire barrage of bullets from the 32nd floor of a Las Vegas hotel late Sunday, killing at least 50 people and injuring more than 400 others attending a country music festival below, police said.

Lord Our God, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy.
The Las Vegas shooting victims were violently taken from us.
Come swiftly to the aid of those killed –– as well as those who
are injured. Have mercy on them and comfort their families
and friends by the power and protection of the cross. We ask
this through Christ our Lord. Amen. ✝️
 
May the deceased rest in peace and the families of loved ones who died and are injured be surrounded by those who love and care for them and can offer needed support.
