I like to know which is the official Eschatology on the Last Four Things.

Is it, Death, Judgement, Heaven, and Hell? or is it, Judgment, Purgatory, Heaven, and Hell? Which of these is correct?

Death, Judgment, Heaven, Hell.

Purgatory wouldn’t count: it’s actually Heaven.

I do not know but if we had only the first three of the last four I would feel much more relaxed. 😃

Who cares!😃

I am interested in number 3 only!👍
Why only 3? Fr. Corapi believes that every Catholic should know all the Last Four Things which is the basis for Catholic Eschatology. It helps Catholics form their faith by know what these last four things are to include hell. If we do not know hell, we will deny it’s existence. Jesus preached about hell, and that we should avoid it by being obedient to the Ten Commandments.

The fear of Hell can be use to avoid sin.

You are correct about the theological implications of the last four things!

My post was just an escalation from the fact that it would be much more relaxing if hell did not exist. If hell did not exist than the judgment would be moot. Personally I could care less of death if heaven would automatically be the last stop.

This whole comment of mime comes from the remarks of a priest that said something to the tone of " If I were to wish that there was one thing wrong with the teachings of the Church, it would be the existence of Hell. However, considering the Hell is real we better know of it."

If God’s creatures, specifically angels and mankind, remain obedient to their creator, hell would not exist. The disobedience of angels did brought hell about when Satan rebel against God. Soon after, mankind would be tempted to do the same and sinned greatly.

Idealistically, everyone wants perfection. God calls us to heavenly perfection. Avoiding hell and one way to keep our minds set. I recall the Morning prayer, “I have heaven to gain, and hell to avoid.”

Everything though is not perfect. We can fall from grace, but we should not give up. We ought to rise up from our faults and received the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and restore our relationship with God, and his Church.

The last four things are Death, Judgment, Heaven and Hell. Purgatory will not exist after the end of the world and final judgment, as it is a place of temporal punishment. Since time is no more and we will exist in eternity, there will be no purgatory.
