Hi

I am an Ahmadi peaceful Muslim. We do not believe that GodAllahYHWH took Jesus to heaven from the Cross. What GodAllahYHWH did was that Jesus was delivered from the Cross in near-dead nevertheless very much alive position. He got resussicated in the roomlike and airy tomb and he was treated there by his friends. When he got recovered from his injuries he moved out, met his friends, ate and drank with them, showed them their wounds and finally from Galilee alongwith Mary and other trusted friends migrated to Kashmir , India. There he lived upto the age of 120 years as per one tradition. He died there peacefully and respectfully and was buried in Sirinagar Kashmir. His buriel tomb is there and known to the people.

Thanks
I’ve noted the scenario you present in other discussions in times past. In regards to Yeshua’s being healed as described in Islamic folklore/writing there are serious problems when imposed over a timeline template. What’s stark in that regard is that it is readily comprehended by the simplest mind that the thought bares no credibility where the claimed rehabilitation and his apearings are concerned according to the biblical report. One would have to discount all of what’s described of his post resurrection appearings to be accommodating to your explanation.

The severity of Yeshua’s injuries were such that he would be in no condition to be sociable for some months following his crucifixion. By months I’m being generous because it seems more reasonable to say for over a year.

About two years ago I suffered serious injuries to my rib cage, there were no broken bones my suffering were due to trauma alone. I was bedridden, the pain for any movement was mind bending, the thought of rising to go to the restroom was gruesome. I was in bed for three months, from there when in the mood I could get up and go sit,…I didn’t have the strength to walk a few blocks for refreshments if I wanted to. All total to get back to myself took in the area of 8 months. I had no spear thrust through my side piercing a lung, wasn’t beaten severely which effectively would have prevented laying on one’s back or had any spikes nailed through my extremities. I had none of those kinds of insults to my body, yet it was almost a year before there was any real substance to my recovery. I was attended to faithfully during that time as well, my body took its time recovering.

What Yeshua experienced on the physical level was horrific. The idea that he didn’t die begs for credibility more than the claim of his resurrection. It’s in the range of implausibility to make a claim that rivals the perplexity of a man resurrecting. You have to discount the capacity of men who killed others as a profession to judge one’s being dead, then you have to assume that at some point somehow Yeshua revived while in the tomb and was found in time to be ministered to. The whole scenario of reports of the first sightings and activities involving Yeshua would have to be discounted as myth or lies. Along with that the writings of extra-biblical writings concerning him would all have to be attributed to rumor rather than fact. Then of course you have the Quran, written some 600 years after the events purportedly dictated by “Gabriel” the angel would be contrary to what Gabriel the angel had to say about Yeshua in the Bible. The two figures cannot be the same under the scenario you describe. There are too many elements that have to be thrown out to accommodate the idea that Yeshua didn’t die on the cross, the injuries alone would be too great to mate stories of his appearings in synchronicity in time.

I’ve heard another thought out of Islam claiming that the man on the cross actually wasn’t Yeshua. This desires one to buy into the idea that an imposter would not be recognized. The restitution and healing, imposter and other notions out of Islam are ragged in where common sense are concerned, they require an awkward revisionist sorting of the biblical report. Truth is very streamlined and doesn’t require intellectual gymnastics to relate to.

Hi

What were last words of Jesus?

For example, gMark’s last words of Jesus were, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me”?

gLuke’s last words were, “Father into thy hands I commend my spirit.”

gJohn’s words were,“It is finished”.

So, what were his last words?

Thanks
Actually, I believe if you look in Luke’s second book, Acts of the Apostles, 1:7-8, you will find that Jesus’ last words may well have been, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” just before His Ascension into heaven.

This in response to the Apostles, When they had gathered together they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" Still probably thinking that there was going to be some kind of political revolution to go along with this.

** I would be interested in knowing if after the incident of the cross, Jesus himself said to any one that he had died and got up again. I hope not. he met his friends and ate a few things, talked to them. Please let me know that in the post resurrection period, is there anything in the bible ( 4 gospels) that Jesus may have said that he had died on the cross but came back from the dead?? I amsure that he never said such a thing himself.

The next thing is only the point that Muslims think it was some one else on the cross and not Jesus. Please forget it because it niether suits the Muslims nor the christians. If it suits the christians that it was not really Jesus on the cross then we Muslims are ready to discuss it. Other wise there is no use mentioning this wierd subject please.**

The bible of the christians is a narrative of the life of Jesus. That is all. Written about Jesus by the people who observed things (even that is doubtful). It is not from God. Jesus was from God but not the book that we see called bible. That is not from God. It is the writing of some men about the life history of Jesus. It is not revealed by God to any one nor did Jesus dictate it to any one. However, it is a good book describing the life of a man of God.

Please think over.
Why is the style of writing significant? The Quran is written similar to Psalms, one of many books in the OT except there is order and logic to the arrangement of the earlier work, unlike the Qurans repetitive haphazardness of its verses. Most of the OT and NT is in story form as are most hadith. It is the easiest form to understand and understanding God should be simple…like a child’s innocence trust in her parents is how easy God should be to understand for humans. He would not make it so difficult to know Him.

The Gospels are a Witness to God; Jesus, by those who witnessed it so they wrote what they observed. It’s that simple and can be trusted. This is done everyday by the media and news channels today. It can be reasonably be proven most of the NT books were written before the destruction of the Temple in 70AD. That is within 34 years of the death and resurrection of Jesus of (maybe) 36AD.

Think about it.

In those 34 years those 12 Apostles went about Israel and further, and split up over a short time period to spread their message and did so for maybe the first 20 years. Gaining many new believers by telling others of what they had witnessed 1 year ago-5 years ago- 15 years ago- 20 years ago. They were busy preaching, not writing. But they were getting older, most if still alive would be about 50 years old. If they were not together which is likely they may have begun their works separately. To eventually put down in writing what you had been talking about over the last 20 years takes time especially for men who may not have been trained in the art of reading and writing before being called. They may have been helped by devout believers.

Mohammed relied on others who could read and write to create the Quran. Your faith resides in the memory and ability of one man. At least 3 and arguably many more are recorded in the NT.

Paul may have urged those Apostles, Matthew, Mark, and Luke to write it down for us in the future so we too could know the truth. Those Gospels do not mention Paul and Acts introduces Paul and is clearly shown he is accepted after a reasoned debate that is also recorded, and Acts records most of what Jesus said after He raised Himself from the Dead.

Add the last 10 years to write and distribute some copies of the Gospels in a hostile environment before Peter and Paul were martyred in Rome before the year 65 AD.

I won’t argue whether or not each quranic verse was immediately written down and repeated to Mohammed as proof of accuracy and then each writing was saved and copied over the 23 year period it was given until Mohammed died. I won’t argue the at least 20 years it took to get into book form after Mohammeds death and that all korans today are exactly the same. I will take your word for it.

How/why would you doubt the integrity of those men entrusted to keep the Gospels accurate after the Apostles died any less than the integrity of those Muslims to keep true the Quran?

Christ’s 3 year ministry + 34 years of preaching = Reliable.

The character of Mohammed aside he could not critique how the Quran was finally assembled or if everything was correct. He was dead, and only a few (one really- Uthman) approved it. The Apostles traveled around giving their Gospels and the people could challenge them for years if they contradicted themselves.

Arabia was under Islam when Mohammed died and except for a few rebellions of rejecting Islam by Arabs there was no outside threat. It was nearly 300 years before Roman Empire sponsored Christian persecution stopped and the texts remain intact.

This is reasonable.

I don’t agree with you. There is no promblem with my position. Jesus was seen in other countries, he lived there for a long time afterwards, he died there and was buried there, and his tomb is also there that vindicates my position.
I’d like to see the evidence that makes this theory so sure.

-Who was he seen by?
-What countries?
-Where is his tomb?

and keep in mind, I don’t want to hear your opinion, not that it is not valuable, it is just not what I am looking for. I would like to see firm evidence.

Because, I would like to see a normal man, who is not God (as you believe), be scourged then crucified, and then a mere 3 days later begin a long and tiresome trip (which he would have to have done with haste to be able to fool so many people). And keep in mind in those days traveling was perilous and exhausting, it wasn’t like popping into the cadillac and zipping around on the interstate.

Is it reasonable, by common sense, to think he could do this having been #1- scourged (by a notoriously vicious Roman) #2- Serious wounds opened on his head by thorns #3- holes nailed through both hands and both feet (walking easy? doubt it) #4- stabbed in the side with a spear? All four of which would provide common occurrence in those days for infection, each separately.

*Read this, then find a copy of “THE FOURTH CUP”…I think it’s available for download. Also, read “THE LAMB’S SUPPER”. And things will make much more sense about the Liturgy or Living Word. Christ was celebrating the first MASS. Notice how he quotes scripture. MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME. This is from Psalms. We was quoting, so in order to understand what is really being said you need to study the PASSOVER. From an Orhtodox Jew sight. Download or find an online copy of how to celebrate the Passover. It will become much more clear if you do the study. I am blown away from why was this never covered in my youth so precisely. Many Catholics would not fall away from the Church if they had known this. I was really suprised and amazed by it all. I heard bits an peaces, but we Chrisitians are missing the big picture here. Muslims don’t have a basis for it either. It’s part of our faith as Christians. It’s only sad that many non-Catholic Christians don’t have this faoundation to better understand what’s actually taking place. That or should I say this is why the Liturgy of the Eucharist is so important to us. It’s not just a memorial supper. It’s the real presence of Christ and the Mass makes the sacrifice then present today. …Remember the Magic Time Machine…a recent movie version? Remember how the man riding the machine could see changes over time, yet he did not age. Think of the mass if you will as the inverse of that. The altar becomes the traveling time machine in a sense. All the Angels and Saints are made present with our almighty King and Saviour Jesus Christ. Yes, Mary, the Mother of God, is present also. Jesus reigns forever. Jesus purposefully sacrificed himself ritualistically. He was acting as the high priest, purposefully. Think about it for a moment. If this wasn’t true why did he quote scriptures. All of what he said was to fullfull the prophesy. *

THE LAMB’S SUPPER
the first MASS.
Hi friend!

I don’t think Jesus ever mentioned from his mouth the words "THE LAMB’S SUPPER or the first MASS. " Neither I have read in Quran from Jesus mouth nor in the NTBible saying these words or commanding to observe them. If you or anybody else thinks otherwise, kindly quote from both the respected Books.

Thanks

The men who wrote the bible where inspired by the Holy spirit whom Jesus promised his Apostles. Later the apostles anointed other men/desciples who help to spread the word of God. 👍

The men who wrote the bible where inspired by the Holy spirit
Hi my friend!

The writers of Gosples were anonymous and nobody knows for sure who wrote them. The names were given to them afterwards. They could not be inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit first brings a Revelation or a Word of GodAllahYHWH and then remains with those persons and keeps on inspiring them; as Holy Spirit did speak to Jesus and later inspired Jesus. This is mentioned in Quran- the pristine and most secure Word of GodAllahYHWH, in my opinion.

The writers of Gosples did not receive Word of GodAllahYHWH or the Revelation in the first place. They could not therfore be inspired. Quran does not record it; though both the respected Books (Quran and NTBible) contain life accounts of Jesus.

Thanks

**That is right. Very true. But inspiration is sub standard when compared to revelation. Surely, the writers may have been honest and inspired to write down what ever they knew to be right. But that is again the words of men. Not the words of God. That is the weak point of the bible.

But that is not the only problem with the bible NT. There is a lot more there which did not belong to Jesus (Which was not from Jesus). That has been added to the teachings of Jesus. We know that to add anything or to subtract anything from the real teachings is a sin and corruption. That is where the christians lost the guidance.**

The men wrote down things. That is a major problem. It is the men wrote the book bible which was not revealed to them. They did it from their observation or memory or after hearing from some one.

Can such a book be very reliable revealed book? The question arises “Revealed to whom?” It cannot be the word of God or words of God. That is for sure…
And all the writing of those MEN if studied objectively (not literally) yield the foundation in which Christianity has survived for 2.000 years. Such Christianity teaching is so solid, that we open our bible for any studies, any researches, and by any means, and done by anybody, including the muslims. When somebody claims anything funny about the bible (such as Dan Brown) there won’t be any death threat against him.

Now, if you claim the Quran is from God directly, will you open the Quran for such rigorous study and allow other people to publish their opinion whatever it is? without any death threat? If the Quran is from God as you claim (and I respect that, although I disagree), Islam should not be afraid because the truth of God will always prevail.

Dear all,

One true and convincing proof the bible that I can see my self, is the fruit of the people who believe in. The bible whom you doubt as the word of God yield people like Mother Theresa from Calcutta, Karol Wojtila (John Paul II) who beat communism without any army and without any bullet ever shot by him. He is also the man responsible who torn down the wall of Berlin without any bloodshed. Those persons were the people who believed in the Bible and the teaching resulted from it. Can anybody named a person like Mother Theresa or John Paul II, resulted from other “Holybook”?

Dear Paar,

One basic mistakes in your interpretation of our bible, is your literal interpretations. Please keep in mind, that our priests are theologians, not lawyers. We do not interpret the bible literally as you always do. Question is, are you interpreting the Quran literally? Eventhough my knowledge about Quran is limited, but many Islamic scholars in Indonesia I know, do not interpret Quran so literally. That is why I can see the peaceful face of Islam in my country. Too bad, some evil men claim to be muslims twisted Quranic verses, and come with so many wierd things they are doing.

One more thing i forget. When the Christian read the bible, we read and interpret it without pre-existing thoughts or prejudices. In that case, the Holyspirit will guide us. If you read any holybook with prejudices or pre-existing thoughts, I guarantee you can find tons of things to ridicule others. The same things with any other holybook including yours. If I read it with my prejudices, I will never find anything good out of it. You have not even answer me on how you conclude that your ProphetMessenger is the last prophet eventhough Quran does not agree with you.

** I have no time to re-read the gospels.**
Do you have a plane to catch or another planet to visit before you die? Some things are worth the time.
** I had raised a question. If there was anything connected with the subject then that should be provided. Otherwise Jesus did not die on the cross. Thanks.**
I rasied a question too. Why are Muslims better at keeping sacred words accurate better than Jews and Catholics? Why would Peter and the others lie about it and go to their death because of it if they did not believe it true?

If your only ‘proof’ is that of Mohammeds revelation in the Koran then it is of less worth than the many witnesses regarding those of Jesus since no one ever witnessed the spirit that revealed anything to Mohammed.

depends if yu’re looking for your words or the NT words:

Mark 16: But later, as the eleven were at table, he appeared to them and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart because **they had not believed those who saw him after he had been raised. **

Luke: While they were still speaking about this, he stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
37
But they were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost.
38
Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts?
39
10 Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.”
40
And as he said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.

does it help?

:),HeHeHe…, You are too funny Paarsurrey. So you are conflicting Quran Verses by saying this whole story. See what these verses say so…

An-Nisa

And because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Messiah 'Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allâh,” - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of 'Īsā (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts.
