For Lent our parish will be using Latin chant for the mass parts That includes the Kyrie (okay, Greek chant for that one) , Sanctus, Memorial Acclamation, Great Amen, and Lamb of God.

My question is what settings would be most familiar to people and easy for those new to Latin to learn? Also, is there a setting that is more appropriate for the Lenten season? Does anyone have any comments on the Chant Mass that OCP includes in its missalette?

Links to wav or mp3 versions would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Pax tecum!

The chant settings in the OCP missal are good, and they are some pretty easy ones. I’d say go ahead and start with that one since you’ve already got it in the missal.

Here are some more. There is audio and you can even print out the sheet music!
