Hi. Hoping for some advice šŸ™‚ …

I’m considering buying this: staugustine.net/laudsandvespers.html

It’s a version of Morning & Evening Prayer which contains both the Latin and an (unapproved, so only there as a guide to understanding the Latin) English translation.

Apparently, it’s an update of an earlier version which only contained the texts for Ordinary Time. This new edition ā€œcontains the entire liturgical year, including the texts for the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easterā€.

Does anyone own a copy of this book? Because I’d like to know whether it contains the texts for the Common offices and the Proper of the Saints. Also what do you think of the book in general?

Thanks. 😃

**DISCLAIMER: **I do not own a copy of this book. (I do own a copy of the shorter, per annum/ordinary time version)

At 1600 pages, I would guess that it does not contain Commons nor Propers of Saints. (And the description on that page says nothing to indicate otherwise) The CBP one-volume *Christian Prayer *spends ~800 pages on the Proper of Seasons and the Psalter, which would need be doubled to 1600 for Latin facing English.

As another benchmark, *per annum *is ~800 pages, approximately doubling the *CP *Psalter and propers for ordinary time.
