I am looking for some prayer book containing prayers, litanies etc both in English and Latin.

Do you know any to recommend?

It’s not strictly a prayer book but is a very handy book to own: The Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It has quite a few prayers in both English and Latin in the back.

I already have this one. I am looking for something more complete, when it comes to prayer. It does not need to be pocket size, but it should contain the prayers both in Latin and English.

Sounds like you’ve found what you need. 😃

Otherwise, you will find some good old prayerbooks on Ebay with Latin/English if you look around.

Online there’s Thesaurus Precum Latinarum too.

There are some prayers in Latin at Saints’ Prayers, but it will probably be a few months before the next more comprehensive prayerbook is out.

Most of the older popular prayerbooks were in the vernacular only PRECISELY because the Latin liturgy, especially the Divine Office, had ceased to be a staple of people’s devotion.

Hence, their devotional prayers were ONLY in the vernacular.

The Handbook of Prayers, edited by Reverend James Socias, and published by Scepter has the Novus Ordo Mass in Latin and English, and many prayers in both Latin and English. (They also publish a Latin/Spanish edition.) This is a small, fairly inexpensive book that you might enjoy. You should be able to purchase one at your local Catholic bookstore.

Glad I saw this, I just ordered The Raccolta. I was having the same question.
