Anyone know of any parishes in the Hartford county that serve the Latin Mass?

I’d be curious too. It would be nice to attend one when I go back there to visit my family.

Melek–do you happen to have any recommendations for mass in the West Hartford area that don’t use modern music?

The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Waterbury has TLM at 6:00 PM on Sundays. theimmaculate.com/
I know it is not in Hartford but the beauty of the church is well worth the drive.

There was a time when Connecticut was very anti-Catholic. The powers that be had resolved that there would never be a Catholic Church on the Green in Waterbury. Somehow someone got title to a large empty area between the Episcopal Church and the Green, and transferred the title to the Catholic Church. The priest had the biggest, most beautiful church he could afford and built it with imported Italian marble. It dwarfs the Episcopal Church and blocks it off from the Green.

There then arose a tradition of routing a Protestant parade past the Immaculate Conception each year. As they passed each participant would spit at the Church. One year the pastor assembled a crew of Irish lads with shelalays (sp?) to teach them manners. After that there was a more peaceful coexistence. 😃

Praise God there are many in Connecticut!

In Hartford area I have this:
The Traditional Latin Mass, according to the 1962 Roman Missal is celebrated at St. Mary’s every Sunday at 4 p.m. at 544 Main St., New Britain, CT.

Here is one in Waterbury Sunday evenings.

St. Mary in Norwalk has one at 9:00 every Sunday AM.

New Haven has one every Sunday.

St. Cyril and Methodius in Bridgeport has one every Sunday…

Type the following into google:
Newbritainlatinmass - That will bring you the webpage for St. Mary in New Britain.

Check out the St. Mary Norwalk webpage.

For the one in New Haven check out the St. Gregory society. 👍
