For those of you who like te Latin Mass, which “Mass” is your favourite?

When I say “mass,” I mean like Missa de Angelis or Missa Cum Jubilio.

Personally, I think Mass VIII, Missa de Angelis is the best. What about the Credo? I like Credo III. What are your thoughts?

I don’t know how to answer this question. But as a music fan I like missa papae marcelli and missa luba

I agree with you, I enjoy Mass VIII the most, but to be fair, there are many more modes I need to hear to get a good feel for what I like. I love the music from the Requiem album made by the FSSP!

oh it’s THAT good? I have to get it next time I see it!

My favorite is Mass XI “orbis factor” and Credo I. I really like the Kyrie from the Requiem Mass, too.

This isn’t really for the Latin Mass (although it could be), but this Mozarabic Kyrie Orbis Factor is beautiful.

Yeah. They use that in the Mozarabic rite (which is only said in this one Cathedral in Spain). Although the Catholic college that I attended used it a few times for the Kyrie. At the beginning of Mass as the priest processes in (from what I understand) the introit is said intermixed with the Kyrie. I love the bass tone at the bottom.

Orbis Factor XI is my first favourite, with IV Cunctipotens Genitor Deus a close second.

I’m not fond of VIII De Angelis.

No particular preference for the Credo.
