I have a suggestion for Catholic Answers: to make widely available inexpensive pamphlets to inform on how to attend a Latin mass, the ‘dos and don’ts’. I personnaly have a problem with confession: I’m not sure how it is done at my Latin mission Church. My memories of confessing are over 40 yrs old, and in French (I came to the US in 1967)! I’ve only confessed in this country in the NO rite.
I would like to give those pamphlets to friends of mine who are interested in the Latin Mass, but intimidated. Face it: the past 40 yrs of religious education have not prepared them for the Tridentine Mass! Yes, I know, my St Joseph missal and the missalette tell me exactly what to do, but many people would like to know more before attending.
As a matter of fact, it would be nice to have pamphlets to teach how to attend ANY Mass respectfully! I’ve seen them at one church (NO) I attend, but they are not commonly found.
