Why did you weigh in with your opinion on a debate between other posters? Cat was being quite aggressive and I know that much. I wasn’t being offensive and I see the Latin Mass as being a wholly spiritual experience that brings the Mass to me. Please, respectfully, I recommend you stay out of other people’s debate because it creates tension
It’s a public forum. And it’s a Catholic forum. It’s good to see resepct for the Mass on a Catholic forum, as well as honest and accurate debate. Cat was not being aggressive, just honest. Your comment was offensive to the Mass. Sorry if you are offended by that.

Take offence if you want to. Is your garden lacking privacy? 🙂

It might be a public forum but I request you to step back and possibly read Cat’s post. He implied that the parishioners falling away from the church has nothing to do with the VII changes to the Mass. If that’s the case, why do we have people looking for the Truth in other religions? I think the NO is a valid Mass. However it lacks the mystic qualities of the Tridentine Latin Mass. Now please don’t cause an argument. This is not a trolling forum nor is my thread

I would attend the TLM much more often if the drive was not so far for me with the recent gas prices being high. Unfortunately, it does not look like my diocese will offer the TLM any time soon so I must travel to a neighboring diocese for it. As long as I have Sundays off work coming soon and as the weather permits, I will travel about 60 miles or so round trip to the closest TLM on a Sunday afternoon.
60 miles round trip is all? The closest to me is 70 at least, but then I guess in Southern California, where people routinely commute up to 70 or 80 miles one way each day by car, we have a different perspective, lol! That being said, if I want to attend Mass at the Cathedral in LA, I can at least take the commuter train most of the way, which isn’t really cheaper but is more “green,” and less stressful, being off the SoCal highways.🤷

Sometimes the mileage doesn’t really reflect the minutes. 😃
I really appreciate being able to hear from people who are connecting to the call of the mass.
I feel that all of you are such an important part of the new evangelization. May God bless you all and my He use your experiences and your sharing them with others to draw many more closer to Him. Amen.

This is so true. I’ve spent an hour to go 10 miles in LA traffic on many an occasion, and for much less cause than a TLM.🤷
