If there is a Catholic Book store Church supple store close to you they should carry. I just bought one the same as listed on the web site above about 15.00 less. for the N O missal is english / latin you will more than likely have to get it from online order.

For the Tridentine Mass, I highly recommend this one:
allcatholicbooks.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ACB&Product_Code=AP25x0q&Category_Code=

That’s the one I have, and its awesome.

For the Novus Ordo, I have this one:

The picture shows that the book is black, but its not; its maroon. Not a bad book, either.

Our Catholic bookstore is woefully inadequate in stocking the 1962 Roman misslas and so I went on eBay and got mine brand new for $49.00. It is the Angelus…whgich I really enjoy as it is much easier for me to read.

The two Latin missals that most people on here recommend are the Angelus Missal and the Baronius Missal. The Baronius Missal is put out by FSSP, whereas the Angelus is put out by SSPX. (Take that information however you wish.)

Father Z has published some excellent reviews, with MANY pictures, of both versions.

Here is the review of the Baronius Missal:

and here’s more on the Baronius, with many sample pages to examine, from their own website:

The Baronius Missal comes in leather, and has just been released in a “Motu Proprio” edition, which contains the text of the document. The Angelus Missal is generally available with a synthetic leather cover, but a genuine leather cover IS available if you look for it.

For the Ordinary Form of the Mass, the Daily Roman Missal is the most complete choice, although St. Joseph’s always puts out nice products. The Daily Roman Missal will include the Latin ordinary and the Latin Eucharistic Prayers, although I don’t believe the propers are in Latin. It is available in synthetic, leather, and hardcover editions, and in both a regular edition and a large-print edition. Earlier versions used the New Jersualem Bible for the readings, but the newest edition uses the same NAB readings that you get in Mass. Be sure to get the most recent edition. You may also want to be aware that in 2010 or 2011, there will be an entirely new English translation of the Mass, so this might not be the best time to pick up an expensive hardbound missal for the Ordinary Form. You might be more interested in Magnificat, which is a beautiful monthly publication.

My vote is for the (Angelus) Roman Catholic Daily Missal 1962. '62 Missals are somewhat costly. The Angelus version has it all. Summary of Catholic Doctine is excellent, and extensive introduction to the Mass Rubrics and commentary, in a sensible format, to guide the faithful through the Ordinary of the Mass. The way the rubrics are presented makes it very easy to find your place if you fall behind as the Mass progresses.

If someone asked me what book I’d recommend for an introduction to Catholicism, I’d suggest the Roman Catholic Daily Missal. It’s that good, and it’s availible for 39.00.

Lest we hear the “S” word…
Some point out Angelus Press is connected to the SSPX.
The Roman Catholic Daily Missal 1962 is not an SSPX Missal as some misunderstand. It is a reprint of The Ideal Missal, published in Belgium, which carried a Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur. It’s newly typeset and the commentary revised. These revisions are drawn from sources 1960 and earlier, long before the situation with Bishop Lefevre. If Angelus wasn’t offering this Missal, someone else would be.

The Baronius is a nice Missal. But the The Roman Catholic Daily Missal 1962 gives you more at a better price.

JMO. Other’s opinions may vary according to their buying styes 👍

For the record, the Angelus Missal is a great missal and I have no problem with it whatsoever. Many people prefer the readability of it. However, with just a few minor differences, it is almost exactly the same in content as the Baronius Missal. (ie, Baronius has the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary, the Motu Proprio, etc.) The main reason that I suggest it is that the money raised by its sale is going toward the publication of other traditional titles, most notably, an English-Latin Breviary. This, of course, would help get the necessary resources out there for those priests who are actually looking to CELEBRATE the Extraordinary Form of the Mass.
