Well, we FINALLY made it!!!
We arrived very early, we got there much faster than I expected we would. So we had the opportunity to walk through the cemetery and visit the grotto which is truly lovely. It was such a peaceful and nice way to prepare for confession.
We stood in line for confession, and only one priest was available, and about 50 people in line!
I thought for sure we wouldnāt make it before Mass started, and sure enough, we were still in line, and in the confessional while Mass was starting. We got to our pew in the middle of the first reading.
I canāt begin to say how beautiful the Mass was! I did have a really hard time keeping up with the Latin, because Fatherās mic was not turned up enough and I just couldnāt hear him to know where he was in the Mass. So that was a bit frustrating. But I still feel that I just donāt want to ever receive Holy Communion in any other way than at the rail, on my knees, and from a priest.
We are very seriously considering changing our membership to this parish.
Canāt wait to go back, and hopefully be able to follow along and learn the Mass in Latin!!!
