My small community will be celebrating for the first time the Vigil of Pentecost (Ordinary Form) in its extended form this year. We are very excited about it because we will be celebrating it in Latin and with Gregorian chant.

I’m tasked to prepare a Latin-English Mass guide for everyone, but I could not find the Latin text of the Vigil Mass anywhere online. I already have the readings in both Latin and English.

Does anyone know of an online resource where I can get the full Latin texts, particularly the Collects after each of the four readings, for the Vigil Mass of Pentecost?

Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a Latin Missal. Latin is not popular in our archdiocese. 😦

Is there a diocese where it is? Or even Gregorian chant, for that matter?
I’ve read that there are many parishes in the U.S., and maybe also in Europe and other parts of the world, where Latin Masses and Gregorian chant have a stable following. But, here in my country, only very few people know that they even exist.

In the Chicago area there are several. They teach Latin as well.

We have a small but enthusiastic following for our Gregorian schola in our archdiocese. We even have our “groupies” who know what parish we will sing at next and make sure they attend 😛

We do different parish every month.

I’m not sure, however, that most of our popularity in the parish isn’t because we give the regular choir a break, and the parish a break from the regular choir
